Our MLB handicapping professional shares his top pair of money line underdogs on Thursday night’s card. Go inside to read this revealing betting article that breaks down why he likes these two MLB picks.

CH White Sox (Rodon) @ Cleveland Indians (Salazar)
Carlos Rodon has made five dominating starts versus Cleveland since 2015, evidenced by his superb 1.34 ERA during those outings. Rodon has been exceptional in his last two starts overall, compiling an excellent 1.50 ERA through that short space of time. The White Sox bullpen has been rock solid over their last seven games, collecting a stellar 2.35 ERA throughout that time period.

Cleveland starter Danny Salazar has struggled over his previous five starts, gathering a large 7.50 ERA and 1.75 WHIP in those outings.

Current MLB betting odds at 5Dimes indicates that the White Sox are a massive +184 money line underdog tonight. Carlos Rodon has a 4.32 ERA this year in 19 starts. Cleveland is coming off a 10-7 loss to the White Sox last night. The Indians are averaging 5.1 runs scored per game in 2016. All this data leads us to an extremely profitable money line underdog betting angle.

Any money line underdog of +140 or more (White Sox), and their starting pitcher (Rodon) has an ERA of 4.20 to 4.70, versus an American League opponent (Indians) averaging 4.7 to 5.2 runs scored per game, and that opponent allowed 8 runs or more in their previous game, resulted in those underdogs going an outstanding 34-14 (70.8%) since 1997. Those 48 underdogs had an average money line price of +165.4. Hypothetically, if you risked $100 on all of those money line underdogs, it would’ve resulted in a substantial profit of $4220.

Minnesota Twins (Duffey) vs. Kansas City Royals (Gee)
Tyler Duffey has displayed good form over his last three starts. Since 2015, Duffey has gone a terrific 10-2 in his team starts against fellow AL Central teams. Minnesota is a poor 24-34 (.414) in away games this season. However, they’re coming off a 10-3 win at Atlanta last night, and Minnesota is a respectable 14-11 (.560) this season on the road following a win. Despite their abysmal 49-71 (.408) record in 2016, the Twins are a much improved 24-17 (.585) over their last 41 games.

Dillon Gee has gone a dismal 1-6 in his preceding seven team starts, while posting a hefty 7.20 ERA and 1.89 WHIP. Gee is 0-2 versus Minnesota this year with a mammoth 9.68 ERA and 2.47 WHIP.

Kansas City is 7-1 in its last eight, and 9-2 over their previous eleven games, Nevertheless, they’re far from a lock today with Dillon Gee on the mound, and especially against a Minnesota team which is playing very good baseball throughout the past six weeks. I’m going with the small money line underdog for one of my Thursday MLB picks.
