Tonight’s interleague matchup between the Baltimore Orioles and the Colorado Rockies will serve as the three game series rubber match. Read on for valuable MLB picks.

Colorado Rockies vs Baltimore Orioles
The home town Orioles took the opener 3-2 on Monday night then dropped last night’s game 6-3 to the visiting Colorado Rockies. The American League East leading O’s will send the young righty Dylan Bundy to the hill to face the Rockies starter Jon Gray. A couple key trends point to a plus price underdog in MLB Odds to win tonight in Baltimore.

Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles offensively outside of Adam Jones managed four hits in each of the first two contests and the Baltimore lineup is 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position in the series as the club clings to a slim lead in the American League East. Adam Jones drove in two runs and scored the game-winner in the 10th inning of Monday's 3-2 triumph and followed it up with a two-run homer and two runs scored on Tuesday. Two of the Orioles big bats in the lineup are ice cold right now, Orioles 1B Chris Davis is 0-for-24 with 11 strikeouts in his last seven games. Also, Baltimore C Matt Wieters (foot) is 0-for-8 in two games since returning from a six-game absence. 0 for their last 32 from the middle of the O’s lineup is a tough obstacle to overcome.

Colorado Rockies
The Rockies showed off the explosive middle of their order in Tuesday's 6-3 victory, with Nolan Arenado, Carlos Gonzalez and Trevor Story combining for five RBIs. Colorado has won five of its last six games and has one of their top pitchers going tonight in Jon Gray. Gray is seeing Baltimore for the first time in his career. The hard throwing former Oklahoma Sooner dominated in his last two starts, allowing a total of one run in 14 innings while striking out 16. The 24-year-old turned in a quality start in each of his last four outings with 28 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings in that span.

Final Analysis
Baltimore’s former 1st round draft pick Dylan Bundy will make his third straight start after tossing a career-high 87 pitches in a win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday. The 23-year-old struck out five in as many innings without walking a batter and allowed one unearned run in the 5-1 final. He has a tough task of quieting the hot Rockies bats in only his third start since being in the bullpen earlier this year.

The inexperienced Bundy will be on a tight pitch count even if he finds himself having success against the Rockies lineup, which has posted a .761 team OPS the last week as opposed to the Orioles team OPS of .627 ranking them second to last in all of baseball the last seven days. The Orioles have suddenly lost their stroke offensively and are one of the coldest lineups in baseball. I recommend a wager on the red hot Rockies for my MLB pick to make it six wins in their last seven games and cash a plus price ticket in Camden Yards tonight.
