Instead of 'easy does it' for baseball totals on Sunday, more thinking about like this morning's eggs - Over Easy. That is correct, I believe I have uncovered a trio on games that will surpass the total.

Been going along in a pretty good groove for MLB picks on totals and when looking over these starting pitchers and in some cases the bullpens, one contest in the Nationals League and two in the American just standout.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

Tally Up the Runs In Toronto

Minnesota's Kyle Gibson (5.76 ERA) has made twice as many starts as Toronto Joe Biagini (5.11), with 22 compared to 11. As it turns out that has not been a good for the Twins and not particularly helpful to the Blue Jays either. Gibson was once the ace of the Minnesota staff, but never being a hard-thrower and now having more command issues, he is giving up 1.2 hits per inning and his he's not even close to a 2-to-1 strikeout vs. walk ratio. Biagini fans a few more batters, yet, also is tagged for better than a hit an inning. With the total at 9.5 and Gibson 14-4 OVER vs. an AL team with a batting average of .265 or worse in the second half of the season, look for both offenses to have healthy day.

Pirates and Reds Swing Like it's Batting Practice

Remember when Cincinnati's Homer Bailey was a good starting pitcher? You know, solid in the middle of the rotation and he even fashioned no-hitters in back to back seasons. (2012-13) Well, that Homer Bailey is now Matt Cain, a shell of his former self and has a 7.99 ERA. He's been a really bad fit at home with a eye-popping 12.10 ERA and get this, opposing batters are hitting .388 against him at Great American Ball Park. Not sure what happened to the Pirates Jameson Taillon, as his ERA has climbed from 2.95 all the way to 4.85. Given the current form of these two starters, the MLB odds total of 9.5 seems in jeopardy.

Hope Tigers and White Sox Fans Have A Lot of Time Sunday Afternoon

The Detroit Tigers are sinking like an anvil in water in the AL Central, drawing ever closer to the last place White Sox. Tigers pitchers are now allowing more runs a contest than the Pale Hose, at 5.3 compared to 5.1. Don't expect Matt Boyd of Detroit to stem the tide, he of the 6.24 ERA. And even if the Tigers hurler would pitch better than presumed before being pulled, the Tigers bullpen is like a match on the fire, being the worst pen in the majors. If the name Lucas Giolito (6.00) of the Sox does not inspire confidence for Under bettor's, neither will the fact the 23-year old has been tagged for 10 homers in 27 big league innings, which all adds up to a total of 10.5. Hey bro, how do you like those eggs again, "OVER EASY".
