Even with two high ERA's on the mound I am backing the under the total when the Washington Nationals visit the Tampa Bay Ray in interleague play today.

Mostly, his high ERA is due to a couple bad outings this season, but career wise he has an ERA of 3.64 in 198 appearances. In his last two games he has been stellar only allowing eight hits in 12 innings and a total of four earned runs. For the Rays Erasmo Ramirez takes the hill with a 4.96 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. His career numbers are not much better but that low WHIP is pretty telling. Like Gonzalez he has pitched really well recently, in his last three starts only allowing three earned runs in 17 innings. The fact that this line is 7, with DH in play and both these pitchers have ERA's over 4.00 should really get the radar up on this matchup.</p> <p style="text-align:center;"><a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/mlb-baseball-futures/" style="text-align:center;" target="_blank" title="MLB Baseball Betting Directory for Futures Odds"><em>Compare MLB Futures Odds on Offer for World Series & Division Winners</em></a></p> <p><strong>Batting</strong><br /> The Nats are one of the better offenses in the league and are ranked 7th in runs per game, and 9th in slugging. After those two stats though they are ranked in the middle of the league in most other categories and only 18th in hits per game. The Rays are in the bottom half of the league in every major offensive category and rank 26th in batting average and 27th in hits per game.</p> <p>This line really makes me wonder a bit. Very surprising line, but don't let that throw you off when placing your <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/mlb/" target="_blank" title="Free MLB Picks & Handicapping Tips">MLB picks</a>. Both these pitchers come in throwing really well right now and should keep the numbers down in this game.</p> <p><strong>MLB Pick: </strong>Under <a href="https://www.sportsbookreview.com/Sportsbook/?v=1307&book=in-article-bet-online" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" title="Visit BetOnline to make your bet">at BetOnline</a></p> <p><iframe allowtransparency="true" border="0" frameborder="no" height="140px" id="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" name="iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426" scrolling="no" src="http://js.sbrfeeds.com/index.php/article?iframeid=iframe-odds-widget-2036869707517426&timezone=16&theme=article&line-type=spreadntotals.type=whole-game&odds-type=US&books=1096,19,43,227,999996,93,238,123,139&trackers=1409845611531.xml&event-id= 752327" style="width:642px;border:medium none;overflow:hidden;"></iframe></p>
