Another huge night of baseball awaits us. We've examined the MLB odds board closely and believe we've got a couple picks that hold good value.

Colorado Rockies (Matzek) vs. San Francisco Giants (Lincecum)
It has been a rough start for the Giants, and they'll be taking a five-game losing streak into tonight's series finale at home against the Rockies.

The scheduled starters are Tim Lincecum and Tyler Matzek, with the MLB odds currently showing San Francisco favored at right around -115 and Colorado available for backing at +105. The total is at an even seven runs.

As we mentioned, San Francisco has been struggling mightily, especially at the plate. The Giants have only generated one run through the first two games of the series and they're ranked 23rd in the MLB with a grand total of 24 runs scored through their first nine games. It hasn't helped that Buster Posey is already banged up, but the rest of the order hasn't been helping much.

The Giants will turn to Lincecum tonight, and he looked excellent in his season debut, tossing seven innings of scoreless ball (allowing four hits) in a no decision on the road against San Diego. He'll now pitch at home, where he fared much better in 2014 than he did on the road.

As for Colorado, they've raced out to an excellent 6-2 start, which has them tops in the division early on. The Rockies have primarily relied on their pitching so far in this series, and now it'll be up to Matzek to keep it going. The southpaw allowed four hits and one run (with four strikeouts and three walks) over four innings in a 5-1 win over the Cubs five days ago.

For tonight's finale, we're picking San Francisco to save their blushes and avoid the sweep. We liked what we saw out of Lincecum in his first start of the year and we think he'll rise to the occasion this evening. At a short price, back the Giants with your MLB picks.

MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -115

Tampa Bay Rays (Ramirez) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (Buehrle)
Looking to avoid a sweep, the Blue Jays will enter tonight's finale as firm MLB betting odds favorites. Toronto is listed at -140 or so to get the win, with Tampa Bay listed at 130. The total is sitting at a pretty high number of 8.5.

Mark Buehrle toes the rubber for the Blue Jays, who will be desprate for a win. Buehrle showed good things in his 2015 debut, giving up eight hits and two runs over six innings in a winning decision against Baltimore on the road. The matchup is easier tonight at home against the Rays, who doesn't exactly have the most explosive of offenses.

Tampa Bay rolls out Erasmo Ramirez tonight, and he was absolutely torched five days ago, surrendering six hits and seven runs over two innings of work versus Miami. The right hander was awful in 2014 too, logging a 5.26 ERA with the Mariners, and he certainly didn't get his career with the Rays off on the right foot.

The pitching mismatch is a big reason why we think the Blue Jays are worth a serious look tonight, even on the run-line. We know that Toronto offense is going to go off sooner rather than later, and there's a good chance it could happen against Ramirez, who is prone to getting shelled. Buehrle isn't a world beater, but he is at least a competent starter at this point, something we can't say about his opponent.

So, as we get set to approach tonight's MLB slate, we should seriously consider backing Toronto to win by at least a couple runs, which would offer us a nice return.

MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+155)
