Our MLB handicapping expert examines the game between the Rays/Indians this afternoon. His sports betting article concludes with a money line MLB free pick.

Final Curtain in 2014 for Rays/Indians
The Indians will host the Rays on the last Sunday to make regular season picks at Progressive Field in Cleveland with the first pitch slated for 1:05 PM ET. This will be the final game of the season for both of these teams. According to MLB odds, the Rays are a -115 money line road favorite, and the posted total is 6.5.

The Starting Pitchers
The Rays right-hander Alex Cobb has pitched extremely well in 2014, posting a 2.75 ERA, and he’s seen just 9 of his 26-starts (34.6%) go over the total. He’s also seen 10 of his last 12-starts go under the total, and has displayed very good form in his last 3 by having an excellent 1.87 WHIP during that time. This will be Cobb’s first start of the season versus the Indians in 2014. In 2013 he went 2-0 against “The Tribe,” and didn’t allow an earned run in either of those starts.

In a late pitching change, the Indians will go with southpaw starting pitcher T.J. House on the mound this afternoon in place of Danny Salazar. House enters today in terrific form over his last 4-starts, going 4-0 against the money, posting a stellar 1.38 ERA, and struck out 25 while walking just 1. He’s also gone a perfect 6-0 against the money at home this season with an exceptional 2.25 ERA.

Final Analysis
Neither team is tearing the cover off the ball during the past week. Both starting pitchers have been lights out. This one will be a low scoring affair.
