The Arizona Diamondbacks have had a great offensive start to the 2017 MLB season, but the Snakes started with a 7-game homestand. They head to San Francisco on Monday to open an NL West series.

Odds Overview

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants (MLB Network, NSBA, FSAZ, 4:35 p.m. ET): The Diamondbacks head out on the Road after an impressive start to the season at Home and face the Giants at beautiful AT&T Park in San Francisco in Game 1 of this 3-game NL West series Monday afternoon. Current MLB Odds show sportsbooks have LHP Matt Moore and the Giants -136 favorites (BetOnline) over RHP Taijuan Walker and Arizona with a Total of 8 +100 (Heritage) and SF -1½ +155 with AZ +1½ -175 in the Run Line marketplace ( On Tuesday (10:15 p.m. ET), SF -- which starts a seven-game, opening homestand Monday -- will send Jeff Samardzija against Robbie Ray with Matt Cain dueling Shelby Miller in Wednesday’s finale (10:15 p.m. ET).

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks (125/1 to win World Series, 5Dimes) are off to great start this Regular Season and playing in 6 'Overs' in games averaging 11.0 runs. On Sunday in Game 3 against the AL champion Indians (CLE -187, 9½, BoL), Arizona (6-1) manager Torey Lovullo had a starting lineup of: CF Pollock, RF Peralta, 1B Goldschmidt, 3B Lamb, SS Owings, LF Descalso, 2B Drury, C Herrmann with SP Patrick Corbin. The Diamondbacks completed a sweep of the Tribe with a 3-2 victory.

Arizona (50/1 to win NL, Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook) is 4-0 L4 vs. LHP Starters, in Game 1s and on Grass and 7-1 L8 vs. NL West but 3-10 L13 Road games, although those numbers date back to last season. The 'Over' is 33-16-2 L51 AZ vs. NL West, 33-15-4 L52 Mondays and 36-15-3 L54 Game 1’s while the 'Under' is 10-2 in L12 AZ Road dates.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants (18/1 to win World Series, Intertops) are off to a nasty 2-5 start, although all 7 games have been played on rival NL West turf (AZ, SD). And it’s (still) the Starting Pitching that looks like the Achilles’ heel with Giants P’s allowing 6, 4, 8, 9 and 7 runs before giving up just 2 Saturday -- and still losing at SD. On Sunday in Game 3 at SD, where the Giants had a Starting Lineup of: CF Span, 1B Belt, RF Pence, C Posey, SS Crawford, 3B Núñez, LF Marrero, 2B Hill with SP Johnny Cueto. They avoided a sweep with a 5-3 win.

The Trends show SF is 5-1 L6 at Home but 1-4 L5 Mondays, 0-4 L4 on Grass with the Over 6-0 the L6 Moore starts on Grass and 5-1 L6 Frisco Home games.

SF Weather, Pitchers, Series Trends

The TWS forecast for SF Monday calls for Partly Cloudy skies with a high of 61° and 10-15 mph winds, so, a beautiful day for a Home Opener. Last week new acquisition, Walker (M’s) made an impressive debut for the D’backs vs. Los Gigantes, earning the Win and allowing 4 Runs on 7 Hits in 6 IP while Moore gave up 6 Runs in his start vs. Arizona, although 3 came in on a costly Belt error. Drury (.364) and Goldschmidt (.455) have hit Moore well, tho in limited PA’s.

The 'Over' is 4-0 L4 meetings but the 'Under' is 13-3-1 L17 in SF, and although they looked good in the season-opening series at Home, Arizona is 1-4 L5 meetings here and 5-14 L19 overall, with the Giants having their number in 2016, going 13-6. With the Diamondbacks confident and good in Game 1’s but weak at AT&T and against SF lately, staying away from a Side and backing the 'Over' is the MLB Pick.

Predicted Score: Giants 5 Diamondbacks 4MLB free Pick: 'Over' (+100)Best Line Offered: Heritage
