The Dodgers and Angels are all even as they shift their interleague series to Anaheim for the final two games. Find out where out capper is looking to make his free MLB pick.

Clayton Kershaw didn't have his best stuff Tuesday night in Los Angeles, but the Dodgers still found a way to win thanks to a little help from the Angels' defense.

A 5-4 Dodgers victory left this interleague battle level after the first two games in LA, Juan Uribe grabbing the spotlight with an early 3-run homer before scoring the winning run in the ninth on David Freese's throwing error. The battle now heads to Anaheim for the next two contests, Wednesday's clash featuring a couple of firsts for the starters.

Dodgers righthander Dan Haren will be looking to stop a losing skid while Angels rookie Matt Shoemaker gets his first taste of the I-5 rivalry in Game 3 (10:05 PM ET). The Halos, who sport MLB's top home record (38-19), opened around -140 the baseball betting proceedings around -140, and that moneyline is up to -150 or higher following overnight action. SBR's live MLB odds are showing a 9 run total for the matchup.

Shoemaker To Face Dodgers For 1st Time
Haren has fallen into a bad slump with losses in each of his past five starts. The latest was a shelling administered by the Cubs in the series opener of last weekend's set in LA, Haren charged with seven runs (6 earned) before being relieved one out into the fifth.

The former Pepperdine standout will be facing his former Angel teammates for the first time since departing Anaheim after the 2012 season, and struggled at this park his final season in the Halo rotation (5-9, 4.68 ERA). Haren has logged over 300 innings off this mound during his career, posting a 3.14 ERA in 44 starts and one relief appearance.

Shoemaker has become an valuable member of Mike Scioscia's rotation, the Angels winning nine of the rookie's 12 starts to put 6.5 units of profit in baseball bettors' pockets. The Eastern Michigan alum will be facing the Dodgers for the very first time, and owns a 5-2 record at home with a solid 2.84 ERA (50.2 IP).

Umpire Notes, Final Thoughts & A Free Pick
We're assuming the umpire crew will slide down to Anaheim to continue the series, and that puts Jim Reynolds behind the dish in Wednesday's contest. Six consecutive 'under' winners, the most recent last Saturday in the middle match of a 3-game set between the Padres and Braves, have Reynolds 7-12 O/U on the campaign. He worked a Haren outing in April that didn't make it to the total, and Reynolds' lone appearance at Angel Stadium also fell short.

The Dodgers may have scored five times on Tuesday, but they had opportunities to add to that total and failed to do so. Uribe's bomb in Game 2 is the only hit they've gotten in 14 chances with runners in scoring position this series, so I'll be going with the low side of the total for my free pick in Game 3.

MLB Pick: Dodgers-Angels Under 9 (-115)

Season: 96-99 (-3.85)
