Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides an MLB Early Lines Report for the baseball card taking place on Friday, September 2.

Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers
Doug Fister has had a solid season for the Houston Astros for the most part but lately we are seeing signs of real fatigue creeping into his game. Fister has allowed 4+ runs in three of his last four starts and has been leaving a lot of his pitches up in the zone and opposing hitters have been taking advantage of it. Texas is red hot right now winning five straight games and have a phenomenal home record of 45-21 in Arlington this season and A.J.

Griffin, while not dominating or overpowering, has pitched well enough to give the Rangers a chance to win in most of his starts. Griffin has a solid 5 walks to 29 strikeouts radio in his last five starts and Texas is 12-6 in his 18 starts this season including 5-2 at home. Griffin has a strong track record of success against Houston as his teams have gone 5-0 in 5 career starts for him against the Astros and he shut down Houston allowing just 2 runs in 6 innings against them back in April. Houston has a below .500 record on the road and now must face one of the best teams in baseball especially at home. All of those facts make this price of -115 to Texas at home look a little bit cheap and one worth laying on Friday night for your MLB pick.
