Today's MLB slate features some very surprising totals. Take a look at my analysis and change your life with our MLB picks of the day.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers

Good Pitching Matchup

I always believe that good pitching wins the games, and although the Orioles have been playing out of this world at 7-1, the Texas Rangers send Cole Hamels (2-0, 2.08 ERA), who is having a fantastic start to the 2016 MLB Season. As I said during the last Rangers game, Cole Hamels will compete for a Cy Young Award and I think that this is the season.

In order to do so, he must deal with a team that has only lost once, has Chris Tillman (1-0, 1.29) starting, and looks unbeatable. The Orioles possess established players such as former 50 home run hitter in Chris Davis and up-and-coming superstar, Manny Machado.

From Double Specialist to Superstar!
Machado has been really laying it on thick lately, currently sitting at 3 HR, 4 RBI, and a .441 BA. Machado also has a mindblowing 27 bases to his credit. If he keeps playing like this all season long, he's definitely in consideration for AL MVP as Baltimore appears to be a winning squad in 2016. When an elite hitter faces an elite pitcher, the edge is given to the pitcher, but Machado's run has proven otherwise.

Let's also not forget about the play of Mark Trumbo. Although Trumbo will never reach Machado's status, he's started this season fast out of the gate. He's second on the team in hitting with 2 HR, 5 RBI, and a .406 BA. Trumbo has always been a home run hitter ever since his days with the Angels, but he's surprising everyone at the start of the season and is a major reason why the Birds only have 1 loss to their credit.

This is a real grudge match with elite pitchers and Baltimore excelling the way that they are. The total MLB odds is very high and I love it so much that I'm going to do a 3 unit play on the UNDER.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs

Cubs Fans Have to Be Happy
I've never seen the Cubs get out of the gate so fast. Not only that, I thought that their 91 win total as a future bet was a joke and an under. Folks, I was wrong.

This team is electric and well-balanced. They haven't won a World Series in over 100 years but should be the favorites to do so this season. If they don't win it all this season, there will be mutiny all across Chicago and Wrigley Field. That's how good a team the Cubbies are.

At 7-1, the Cubs face a tough customer in Raisel Iglesias (1-0, 2.31) who will be challenged tonight as he faces the likes of Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Dexter Fowler.

Not only that, the Cubs have outscored their opponents 25-10 in their last 4 games. It's no surprise that all 4 games were wins. The weather will be very cold tonight and that makes me think about an under in a game with 2 above average pitchers, but the best play in this game is the Cubs.

Chicago has already proven that they're a team to be reckoned with and with an offense such as their's, you never know when they're going to lay a 9 or 10 spot on an unsuspecting opponent.

I don't know who the hero or heroes will be, but expect Chicago to pick up a "W" here and lay the juice as your one of your MLB picks.
