Again we have just three games involved in our daily odds report, so you're sure to find some very useful information as you get ready to tackle the upcoming MLB schedule. Are there any matchups that scream baseball betting value out there?

Los Angeles Dodgers (Hernandez) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (Lohse)
Covered by Willie Bee and Jeff Grant
The Dodgers took care of business against their cross-town rivals, winning the last three games in the series, helping them increase their lead in the NL West to 3.5 games. Milwaukee, meanwhile, holds a slim one-game advantage over St. Louis in the NL Central.

Tonight's game is therefore important for both teams, with Kyle Lohse and Roberto Hernandez penciled in as the starters. Lohse has been a stalwart in the rotation for Milwaukee this season, going 11-6 with a 3.40 ERA.

As for Hernandez, he was just traded from Philadelphia and will make his debut for the Dodgers this evening. He went 6-8 with a 3.87 with the Phillies and immediately steps in for the injured Josh Beckett.

We have two different picks for this game. Up first is Willie, who has a strong lean on the 'over,' followed by Jeff, who thinks Milwaukee on a first five innings play is the way to go. He expects Lohse to get off to a better start than Hernandez, who has been very poor in the month of August throughout his career.

Free MLB Pick: Willie: Lean on over 8.5 runs // Jeff: Brewers First 5 Innings at BetOnline

Boston Red Sox (Webster) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Weaver)
Covered by Ron Patrick and Jeff Grant
The Red Sox were shut down in the series finale in St. Louis yesterday, with their next stop coming in sunny Los Angeles against the Angels, who have lost three straight.

Jered Weaver and Allen Webster are set to start the opener. Weaver looked solid his last time out, giving up two earned runs over six innings, and he's gone 12-6 with a 3.59 ERA so far this season. He'll try to help LA improve on their impressive 38-21 home record tonight.

Webster was a mess six days ago, allowing four earned runs over 2 and 2/3 innings against the Yankees. Boston is keeping their faith in the right-hander, however, with the Red Sox hoping he can bounce back against Mike Trout and company.

Neither Ron or Jeff expect Webster to have much success though. Jeff is siding with the Angels to win straight up on the money-line, while Ron is taking it a step further and adding them on the run-line in expectations that they'll win easily.

Free MLB Pick: Ron: Angels -1.5 (+110) // Jeff: Angels -175

Washington Nationals (Strasburg) vs. Atlanta Braves (Santana)
Covered by Ross Benjamin
The Braves are struggling immensely at the moment, having lost eight straight games, which subsequently has them 4.5 games back of division-leading Washington. Considering the implications, this weekend's series in Atlanta is hugely important.

Even better, we've got two great pitchers set to take the hill in the opener, as Ervin Santana starts opposite Stephen Strasburg.

Santana has been pitching as well as he has been all season and carries a 10-6 record with a 3.59 ERA into tonight's home start. As for Strasburg, he was dominant his last time out, holding Philadelphia to three hits and zero runs while striking out 10, so you know he'll be feeling confident against a team he knows well

When it comes down to making his best MLB picks, however, Ross sees more value in taking Santana and the Braves at home. Atlanta surely has to get back on the winning side sooner rather than later, and it could very easily come tonight.

Free MLB Pick: Braves +105
