Having a hard time beating the books with your MLB picks? Maybe our daily odds report can help you out, complete with a run-down of our recommended plays for Monday. Let's start off the week on the right foot.

Los Angeles Angels (Richards) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Greinke)
Covered by Willie Bee and Ross Benjamin
This should be one heck of a series, pitting the NL West-leading Dodgers at home to the Angels, who are currently second in the AL West despite an excellent 66-44 record.

Tonight's pitchers for the opener will be Zack Greinke and Garrett Richards, so there's even more reason to tune into this one. Both right-handers have been outstanding this season, with Greinke at 12-6 with a 2.65 ERA and Richards at 11-4 with a 2.74 ERA.

We have Willie and Ross both covering this game and they're in agreement with where to go with their sports picks. Each capper is backing the Dodgers to win at home, though Ross was able to find a slightly better price on the hosts.

MLB Pick: Willie: Dodgers -125 // Ross: Dodgers -120

Tampa Bay Rays (Cobb) vs. Oakland Athletics (Samardzija)
Covered by Ron Patrick
Another great pitching matchup coming up tonight, this time in Oakland where Jeff Samardzija and Alex Cobb are installed as the starters.

Samardzija has picked up right where he left off since moving over to the Athletics from the Cubs, while Cobb has been incredibly dominant in his last two starts. We really don't blame Ron for his recommendation in this MLB betting spot: he believes the UNDER holds the most value with these two studs on the bump.

Detroit Tigers (Scherzer) vs. New York Yankees (McCarthy)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Yankees just took the last two at Fenway and now return home to face off against the Tigers at home. Detroit is on top of the AL Central by five games and will take a three-game winning streak into tonight's battle.

Max Scherzer picks up the start for the Tigers and he's been tremendous at 13-3 with a 3.27 ERA. He'll be opposed by Brandon McCarthy, who's gone 3-0 with a 2.55 ERA since getting acquired by New York.

Despite McCarthy's recent success, Jeff loves this value on Scherzer and the better overall team in Detroit. He's backing the Tigers as small road favorites.

MLB Pick: Tigers -120

Baltimore Orioles (Gausman) vs. Washington Nationals (Roark)
Covered by Jeff Grant
It's a showdown between two division rivals, with Baltimore trying to hold off Toronto in the AL East and Washington currently up 3.5 games on Atlanta in the NL East.

It's been good to see Kevin Gausman (5-3, 3.70 ERA) find his best form recently, but Tanner Roark has been even better throughout the season. He's 11-6 with a 2.74 ERA so far in 2014.

In a relatively surprising pick, Jeff has opted to side with Gausman and the Orioles on the road. Baltimore is an excellent 32-23 on the road – will they get the job done again this evening?

MLB Pick: Orioles +125

Texas Rangers (Martinez) vs. Chicago White Sox (Noesi)
Covered by Steven Suarez
The Rangers have been beyond bad this season and there's nothing to suggest things improving. Texas has been the worst team in the majors, as they get set to tangle with Hector Noesi and the White Sox tonight.

I've looked at this game closely and there's no chance I'm putting my faith in either Noesi or Nick Martinez, who have a combined ERA of over 10. Instead I'm add the OVER to my collection of MLB picks and back these two offenses.

MLB Pick: OVER 9
