Mets (Colon) vs. Dodgers (Correia) 4:10 PM ET
The Mets starter Bartolo Colon has gone 18-9 against the money on the road over the past 2-seasons, and he’s earned +11.30 betting units in the process. Colon has gone 3-0 in his last 3 versus the money on the road with a stellar 3.10 ERA and a brilliant 0.78 WHIP. In 24-starts overall in 2014, the veteran right-hander has posted a respectable 3.85 ERA and has a 5:1 strikeout to walk ratio.

The Dodgers starter Kevin Correia has seen his last 5-starts all go over the total while compiling a lofty 5.00 ERA in the process. He’s gone a miserable 4-9 against the money in his home starts this season with a large 6.65 ERA and 1.61 WHIP.

Advantage: Considering the money line MLB odds in this game, the efficiency in which Colon has won on the road over the last 2-years, and Kevin Correia’s bad performance line overall, I’m giving the Mets hurler the edge here. The betting value in today's starting pitcher report goes with Bartolo Colon of the Mets over Kevin Correia of the Dodgers.

Angels (Weaver) vs. A’s (Kazmir) 8:05 PM ET
The Angels Jered Weaver has been in bad form over his last 5-starts by posting a lofty 5.40 ERA and a terrible 1.80 WHIP. In 12-starts on the road this season, the Angels veteran right-hander has an unimpressive 4.82 ERA. He’s seen all 5 of his starts in day games during the 2014 season go over the total while posting a 4.06 ERA. Weaver has gone 0-2 against the money versus Oakland this season with a large 7.15 ERA.

The A’s starter Scott Kazmir has gone a terrific 7-1 against the money in day games this season, with an excellent 1.49 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP, and a nearly 6:1 strikeout to walk ratio. The Oakland southpaw has gone 9-3 against the money at home in 2014 with a stellar 2.28 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. Kazmir will be facing an opponent (Angels) today that’s hitting .259 as a team for the season, and he’s gone an extremely profitable 22-7 against the money over the last 2-seasons, versus an American League opponent that’s hitting .260 or less.

Advantage: The clear betting edge to apply at a Sportbook like Bodog for me in this one goes to Scott Kazmir of the A’s over Jered Weaver of the Angels. Kaxmir has been lights out at home and during day games in 2014. The Angels Jered Weaver has had an overall bad year especially by his standards.
