Major League Baseball's Midsummer Classic is under the bright lights of Dodger Stadium in Hollywood on Tuesday night. Can the National League finally break the American League’s winning streak? Here are our MLB All-Star Game Picks.

The MLB All-Star Game no longer awards home-field advantage in the World Series to the winning team, and the National League has been very thankful for that. The American League has won the last eight All-Star Games after the NL put together a string of three straight victories.

Obviously, there is very little correlation between those games given the massive changes in All-Star rosters, but there could be mind games at play. Nevertheless, the National League is the home team looking to win its first All-Star Game since 2012 on Tuesday night in L.A.

Here are my picks and predictions for Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game between the American League and National League (odds via DraftKings SportsbookFoxbet, and Unibet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

MLB All-Star Game Odds

MLB All-Star Game Odds Analysis

As one might expect for an All-Star Game, this is largely a pick’em. The National League opened up as a -115 favorite, and that’s the best price you can get it at, with BetMGM and DraftKings offering that number. The American League is up to +100 at Foxbet after opening at -105.

The total opened at an even 8 but has moved down to 7.5 at some books. You can get Over 8 (+105) at BetMGM and Under 8 (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook. Unibet is offering Over 7.5 at -115 and Under 7.5 a+100.

MLB All-Star Game Projected Pitchers

American League LHP Shane McClanahan (10-3, 1.71 ERA, 0.80 WHIP) vs. National League LHP Clayton Kershaw (7-2, 2.13 ERA, 0.91 WHIP)

The AL has MLB’s best pitcher in McClanahan. He owns a league-leading 1.71 ERA and 0.80 WHIP in his second big-league season. He's dominated hitters throughout the first half of the campaign.

For the NL, Clayton Kershaw will start in his home ballpark. It's his first-ever All-Star Game start, and he beats out NL Cy Young front-runner Sandy Alcantara of the Miami Marlins for the honor.

MLB All-Star Game ML Pick

American League (+100)

Getting plus-money (or just even money) in an All-Star Game seems outrageous, especially given the American League’s recent dominance.

This season, the AL also seems to have the better squad. Paul Goldschmidt (1.004 OPS) is the only NL player among the top six in the OPS category (granted, Yordan Alvarez is injured with his 1.058 OPS). The AL has Aaron Judge (.982), Rafael Devers (.980), Mike Trout (.967), and Jose Ramirez (.944) all ready to go.

The All-Star Game should be fun, and the AL is poised to take another victory. You can’t pass it up at +100. If you want some better odds, -1.5 (+168 via FanDuel) could also be worth a look. Nine of the last 11 All-Star Games were decided by at least two runs, including last year’s 5-2 result.

MLB All-Star Game O/U Pick

Under 7.5 (+100)

Pitching is the name of the game, especially so at the Midsummer Classic. There were seven runs in each of the last two games after an 8-6 extra-inning affair at Nationals Park in 2018. Dating back to 2013, there were seven runs or fewer in five of eight All-Star Games.

Starting pitchers usually only throw one inning in relief, so they’re geared up and showing their best stuff. It’s hard for a batter to get good contact against a top pitcher that he doesn’t see very often.

With last year’s game at hitter-friendly Coors Field only netting seven runs, I’m going with the Under 7.5 at +100 in Los Angeles.

MLB All-Star Game Prop Bet

Rodriguez To Win All-Star Game MVP (+6000)

Julio Rodriguez is the name on everyone’s mind after Monday night’s Home Run Derby. The Mariners outfielder put on a show despite losing to Juan Soto in the final. However, his performance bought him at least a plate appearance or two in the All-Star Game.

If he gets a big hit, the voters may lean his way after Monday night. This is absolutely worth a 60-1 shot.
