It's the weekend and we are ready to kick-back and enjoy. Part of our down time should including betting a little baseball. In particular we look at today's totals and I have three to consider.

By game time some of the MLB odds could change, so make sure to attack these early.

Pitcher's Duel in the Big AppleDodgers v Mets

Maybe this was not the case, but Yu Darvish has not pitched great in several of his latest starts, including the last one, in which he was pounded for 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings. My guess he's been real unsettled about all the trade talk and now that it is finally over, he will settle down. Basically, he's pitched well on the road all season and is 9-1 UNDER with his 2.48 ERA. Jacob deGrom did not have his best stuff in loss to Seattle, yet still struck-out 10 in six innings. The New York right-hander has 2.48 ERA at Citi Field this year and with these factors, for MLB picks I will grab the UNDER 7.5.

NL Central Matchup Could Be ExplosiveCardinals vs Reds

After going through a real dull stretch, the Cincinnati offense has perked of lately and registered a number of double digit hit games. This evening, they will face Mike Leake of St. Louis, who was drafted and played the Reds earlier in his career and Leake has 4.79 ERA in seven starts against his old club. Cincy will start Asher Wojiechowski, who in four starts has a 7.79 ERA this season. In diving deeper into the numbers, we find St. Louis is 17-6 OVER versus a NL starting pitcher whose ERA is 5.40 or higher since last season, with average total score of 10.7 runs a game, which is above posted 9.5 total on this tilt.

Expect a Low Scoring AffairMarlins vs Braves

In four previous contests this season between these clubs, the total has been divided right down the middle. With the present total from oddsmakers sent out at 9.5, that will change in the series lid-lifter. Miami just whipped Washington in their last two games of their series and will send their hottest pitcher, Adam Conley, to toe the rubber. Conley might have a 5.13 ERA, yet in his past three starts he's at a super 1.74 and on the road this campaign, the right hander is even better at 1.54 in four outings. Aging knuckle-baller R.A. Dickey has been outstanding at new SunTrust Park with 3.07 ERA and he has always pitched well against Miami (2.87 ERA), thought nearly those starts came before 2012. With the Braves 18-6 UNDER at home vs. NL teams scoring 4.5 or more runs a game, let's take the UNDER.
