Our MLB betting expert offers up his top two money line underdog picks for Saturday. Go inside and read this compelling betting article in order to find out why he’s opted for these MLB picks.

Mets (DeGrom) vs Marlins (Fernandez) 7:10 PM ET
The Mets Jacob DeGrom has been in fabulous form in recent starts. However, since 9/4/2015, DeGrom has made three starts against Miami, and compiled a lofty 5.50 ERA in addition to a 1.50 WHIP during those outings.

New York won the opening game of this series on Friday night by a score of 5-2. The Mets are 0-4 in their last four games following a win, and lost by 2 or more runs on each of those occasions. New York has struggled to generate any offense for most of the season, and they’ll certainly be hard pressed to do so on Saturday when facing Miami ace Jose Fernandez.

Speaking of Jose Fernandez, the star right-hander has collected a dominating 1.53 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through ten starts at home in 2016. He’s coming off an outing in which he allowed 2 earned runs during a 3-2 win at Philadelphia. Why’s that significant? Well, I’m glad you inquired. Fernandez has gone a remarkable 16-0 in his previous sixteen home team starts following an outing that he allowed 2 earned runs or less. As a matter of fact, Fernandez is 15-0 all though his career home team starts made in the second half of a season. Fernandez is also 2-0 against the Mets this year with an excellent 0.75 ERA.

Miami is 6-0 during their last six games following a loss, and won each of those outings by 2 runs or more. Despite Friday’s loss, Miami has gone 8-2 in its preceding ten at home, and they’re 8-3 over the course of their prior eleven games overall.

I’m banking on Jose Fernandez pitching another gem at Marlins Park, and to continue his domination over the light hitting Mets. As a result, I’ll be calling for a decisive win by Miami, and one of my Saturday MLB picks will be indicative of that prediction.

Rangers (Hamels) vs Royals (Ventura) 7:15 PM ET
By virtue of their 3-1 loss last night, Texas has now gone a dismal 4-16 over the course of its last twenty outings, and that includes a current 5-game losing streak. That kind of futility hardly bodes well for a money line favorite wager. Since 2014, Texas is an atrocious 20-47 (.299) during the month of July. Furthermore, they’ve gone a superb 29-15 (.659) at home this season, and just 26-27 (.491) in the road.

Kansas City has struggled offensively at times in 2016. Nonetheless, that hasn’t been the case when facing southpaw starting pitchers. Over the course of 18 games in that role, Kansas City has a superb team OBP of .358, and an inspiring .823 OPS. They’ll certainly be facing a good left-hander tonight in Cole Hamels, but the positive numbers far outweigh any of a negative variety.

Yordano Ventura will get the start today for Kansas City. The Royals right-hander has vastly underachieved so far in 2016. Nevertheless, he’ll be facing a Rangers team which possesses a poor .316 OBP heading into tonight’s game. Ventura is an extremely profitable 20-5 in his team starts since 2014, when facing an American League team with an OBP of .320 or less.

Current MLB odds provides me with a most favorable price for this specific wager. I’m going to take advantage of that opportunity before giving them an opportunity to diminish its present MLB betting value.
