In another of Ross Benjamin’s daily pitching reports he has found the betting edge in the starting pitchers. Find out what he recommends for Orioles vs. Blue Jays & Pirates vs. Reds.

Orioles vs. Blue Jays 7:05 PM ET
The Orioles Chris Tillman has been on a terrific 11-0 money line roll over his last 11-starts. Tillman has compiled 33-starts this season, and posted a very good 3.26 ERA. In 15-starts on the road his ERA of 4.19 hasn’t been quite as good comparatively at home. In 3 starts versus the Blue Jays in 2014 he’s posted a 4.35 ERA.

The Blue Jays Drew Hutchinson has a solid 3.28 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP, and better than a 4:1 strikeout to walk ratio in his last 6-starts. During 12-starts at the Rogers Centre this season he’s posted a lofty 4.82 ERA. Hutchinson has 5-starts versus the Orioles in 2014 and has been outstanding. In those 5-outings, he has a 2.38 ERA, a 0.82 WHIP, in addition to a 6:1 strikeout to walk ratio.

I’m going to take a bit of a risk here by calling for Chris Tillman’s impressive 11-game money line winning streak to conclude. My small betting lean to apply to MLB picks goes to Hutchinson of the Blue Jays over Tillman of the Orioles.

Pirates vs. Reds 7:10 PM ET
Vance Worley of the Pirates enters tonight in very good form over his past 4-starts, going 4-0 against the money, with a sparkling 2.25 ERA. Since being call up from the minors earlier this season, the Pirates right-hander has seemed to rejuvenate his career by posting a superb 2.81 ERA in 16-starts.

The Reds Mike Leake has been shaky over his last 4-starts, going 1-3 against the money, with a very lofty 5.59 ERA, and 1.67 WHIP. In 4-starts versus the Pirates this season he has a decent 3.71 ERA. Leake has a 3.41 ERA in 14-starts at home in 2014.

As part of today's pitching report for MLB bettors, I’m giving the clear betting edge to Worley of the Pirates over Leake of the Reds, and recommend you apply this insight at a sportsbook like BookMaker.
