Derek Jeter bids Camden Yards farewell on Sunday, and his New York Yankees are desperate for a win in the finale of their weekend MLB odds series against the Orioles.

Time is running out for New York's hopes of reaching the postseason. The Yankees are 5-games behind Kansas City for the second wild-card spot in the American League playoffs, and they'd like to cut that margin to four on Sunday when they wrap up a long weekend in Baltimore against the Orioles.

ESPN has anointed the contest with its Sunday Night Baseball time slot (8 PM ET), most of the early broadcast devoted to Derek Jeter's final game at Oriole Park. The initial mound matchup pits New York's Hiroki Kuroda opposite Chris Tillman of the Orioles, and it's Tillman drawing a chalk line in the -130s after Baltimore opened -150.

SBR's live MLB odds are also showing a drop for the scoreboard barrier, which started at 7.5 before dipping to 7 at most sports books.

Yanks Snap Skid In Baltimore With Saturday Triumph
Baltimore opened the set by sweeping a doubleheader from the Yankees on Friday. New York managed just one run in the two games, capped by Bud Norris and a pair of relievers blanking the pinstripes in the nightcap, 5-0.

The Yankees had just enough offense to finally snap a 5-game losing skid in Baltimore on Saturday, scoring all of their runs in the second inning and then holding on for a 3-2 victory. Shane Greene struck out nine O's before turning the game over to four New York relievers who posted 3.2 frames of shutout baseball.

Baltimore leads the season series 10-4, winning six of the eight played at home. All three games of this set stayed 'under' the totals which are 1-6-1 (O/U/P) at Camden Yards for the year. The clubs finish up their regular season slate against each other with four games at Yankee Stadium during the final week of the regular season.

O's Unbeaten In Tillman's Last 9 Starts
Baltimore batters are getting their fourth look at Kuroda this year, needing 10 innings to win his one start at Oriole Park on July 11 and losing both times they took him on in New York. Since joining the Yankees before the 2012 season, Kuroda has made three starts in Baltimore and New York has lost them all while he pitched to a 6.60 ERA.

The Birds are on a roll behind Tillman, winning the righthander's last nine starts to sit 22-9 when the Anaheim native takes the mound in 2014 to put an MLB-best 14.2 units of profit in bettors' accounts. Tillman has slowly been lowering his ERA since the all-star break, posting a 2.07 mark in the 11 outings.

One of the victories in Baltimore's streak of nine came at Camden Yards against the Yankees in mid-August. Tillman took a no-decision in that appearance after seven innings of 2-run baseball, and owns a 2.62 ERA in 16 home assignments, the Orioles winning 11 of those matchups.

Umpire Notes, Mother Nature & A Free Pick
Due to the doubleheader Friday, the umpire crew brought five arbiters to the series for a wrinkle in their rotation. All signs point to 20-year veteran Ed Hickox being behind the mask for this one, the Florida native bringing a strong 'under' lean into the tilt (7-16-1 O/U/P). Hickox's first plate assignment of 2014 was at Oriole Park, and it was also an 'under' winner.

Rain held up the start of Saturday's match, but everything looks good for tonight's battle in Charm City. Mostly clear skies are in the forecast with a first-pitch reading on the thermometer in the mid-60s and only a hint of a SE breeze (out to left).

With a 10.5 game over the Blue Jays in the AL East, the second-biggest advantage of any division leader, Orioles manager Buck Showalter can afford to relax a bit. But we know how much he loves to beat his former club from the Bronx, and with the run Baltimore is on behind Tillman, I'm going that direction for my free MLB pick.

My Free MLB Pick: Orioles -125 at Bodog Sportsbook

Willie Bee's Season: 118-116 (+1.15)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":346555, "sportsbooksIds":[19,43,227,1096,999996,93,238,123,139], "LineTypeId":5, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
