With the altitude of Coors Field in Denver, Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado is the oddsmakers' favorite in the 2018 MLB Regular Season RBI Leader market, with new Yankee and heavy-hitter Giancarlo Stanton a close second. Let’s look at those futures odds as well as three special HR group offerings from 5Dimes.

Opening Day for the 2018 MLB Regular Season is Thursday, so let’s wrap up our Preseason look at Futures odds with the overall MLB RBI Leader — where the Rockies' Nolan Arenado is the Futures Book Favorite due to his heavy bat and the Altitude at Coors Field in Denver. In addition, we examine a special offering from 5Dimes in three separate themed Home Run proposition race markets. These offerings are based around the New York Yankees (+620 to win World Series, 5Dimes) new Murderers' Row, a troika of young long-ballers who all hail from here in hardball-happy Las Vegas, and a trio of guys from the defending world champion and still hungry Houston Astros (+580 to win World Series).

In its “Group 2” Astros HR race offering, the sportsbook has Carlos Correa, José Altuve and Marwin González pitted against each other with the big 6-4, 218-pound SS Correa and sparkplug Altuve both hitting 24 HRs in 2017 and LF Gonzalez bashing 23. Three young sluggers from here in Sin City — the Washington Nationals' 25-year-old left-handed hitting Bryce Harper (18/1 to be MLB HR Leader), the Texas Rangers' 24-year-old left-handed hitting Joey Gallo (18/1 to be MLB HR Leader), and the Chicago Cubs' 26-year-old right-handed hitting Kris Bryant (30/1 to be MLB HR Leader) — are all combined in a Las Vegas Product themed competition in “Group 3.” Harper attended Las Vegas High (as well as community college CSN), Gallo went to powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School where he hit a Silver State prep record 67 HRs, and Bryant is a Bonanza High School product who hit 47 HRs and had a .418 BA for the Bengals.

Three members of the New York Yankees (+275 to win AL Pennant) — new addition Giancarlo Stanton (+375 to be MLB HR Leader), Aaron Judge (+700 to be MLB HR Leader) and sturdy C Gary Sánchez (+7500 to be MLB HR Leader) — are all corralled in “Group 4,” where they get to bang the baseball for the Bronx Bombers at the small Yankee Stadium (LF 318 Feet, LCF 399, CF 408, RCF 385, RF 318). Last season, the 6-6, 245-pound Stanton had an MLB-high 59 HRs for the Marlins, Judge smacked an AL-leading 52 HRs en route to unanimously winning the AL Rookie of the Year Award, and the 6-2, 235-pound, 25-year-old Sánchez hit 33 dingers for the Yankees. Stanton averaged a HR every 10.1 AB in 2017, tops in MLB since Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies averaged a longball every 10.0 AB in 2006, the 6-7, 282-pound Judge averaged a HR every 10.4 ABs, the best average in the Junior Circuit last season.
