Odds makers are expecting better season for the Diamondbacks as Arizona make a huge move and acquire stud pitcher, Zack Greinke. Big things are expected from this team; let's check this improved squad.

The Great Greinke
Great he was after a 19-3 season with a 1.66 ERA and 200 strikeouts for the Dodgers in 2015. If not for a late run by Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs, Greinke would've won the NL Cy Young Award.

In my opinion, if Greinke can have numbers like that with a Dodgers offense that isn't always running on all cylinders, he should have no problem in the desert. Greinke allowed opposing hitters to just a .187 BA and also had a 1.46 ERA at home. It simply doesn't get better than that and his presence on this team will surely increase their win total.

Great Pitching
The Diamondbacks also got Shelby Miller (3.02 ERA ) from the Cardinals and now Miller's record will improve greatly as he's on a team that can hit. Add in Patrick Corbin, who had a 3.11 ERA and was dominant at home and this pitching staff is very secure. Along with Paul Goldschmidt, it's the strength of the Diamondbacks squad. Opposing hitters will be tested as the Diamondacks have a multiple legitimate threats taking the mound 1 through 5.

Goldy
Paul Goldschmidt is widely known as one of the best hitters in baseball and one swing of the bat can change the complexion of the game in a millisecond.

Last season, Goldschmidt had 31 HR, 110 RBI, and a .321 BA. What's more impressive is that his on-base percentage was one of the best in all of baseball at .435. He's good with the glove and can hit some moonshots. There's no way for opposing pitchers to avoid Goldy as he looks to have another monster season. This is a huge part of the reason why Arizona should be part of your MLB picks

A.J. Pollock and David Peralta
While they're no Goldschmidt, both of these hitters secure this batting order and make it into one of the better hitting teams in the league. Last season, Pollock was simply superb, hitting .315 with 20 HR, 76 RBI, and 39 SB. Pollock is a speedster as he also had 6 triples on the season. This is a team with talented youth and A.J. Pollock is the leader of the pack.

As for Peralta, he was no slouch with 10 triples, 17 HR, 78 RBI,a .312 BA and .371 OBP. Peralta also enjoyed home cooking as he hit an amazing .336 at home. As stated earlier, the Diamondbacks have a well above average offense and Zack Greinke turns their slightly above average pitching staff into one of the better staffs in the league. 82.5 runs appears to be a tad low for the MLB odds boards.

Outlook
With the addition of Greinke and Miller and hitters that have the ability to reach base safely often, this is a team with a huge upside. 82.5 wins is reachable and the D'Backs have a chance at the high 80's where wins are concerned. 'Over' is the bet here.
