Brooks Koepka taking down the PGA Championship and winning his fifth career major title has given new life to this week's LIV Golf event in Washington, D.C. Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker shares his top LIV Golf picks and predictions for the tournament based on the latest odds from our best sports betting apps.

Whether or not you’re buying the narrative that Brooks Koepka’s PGA Championship win validates LIV Golf, it’s impossible to gloss over how well its players have played at the past two major championships.

Koepka and Phil Mickelson tied for second at the Masters, and Patrick Reed also finished T-4. Bryson DeChambeau was in the mix all four rounds last week and added his own T-4 at Oak Hill, while Cameron Smith climbed the Sunday leaderboard to land in a tie for ninth at the PGA Championship.

Sure, there may be some gimmicky quirks attached to ‘golf but louder,’ but major championships speak loudest. And make no mistake, the LIV Golf effect is real.

Check out our top LIV Golf picks as we preview the tournament and assess the odds from our best sports betting sites.

LIV Golf best bets

Top-10 finish: Bryson DeChambeau (+120 via DraftKings)

There was a new-look DeChambeau at the PGA Championship in more ways than one last week, and the eight-time PGA Tour winner was in the mix all four days and finished T-4. He paced the event in strokes gained: off-the-tee while also gaining strokes on approach and on the greens.

Trump National is dubbed as another tough test that will reward distance, so it could prove to be the perfect layout for the rebounding bomber.

Don’t forget, a seventh-place finish at LIV Golf Tulsa also preceded his strong showing at the PGA Championship.

I'm also backing DeChambeau to win this event outright at +1600 via Caesars but I prefer this top-10 finish market.

Tournament matchup: Cameron Smith (-110 via DraftKings) vs. Brooks Koepka

Potentially lost during Koepka’s statement PGA Championship win was Smith backdooring a T-9 finish with a Sunday 65. The Aussie also paced the tournament in SG: putting.

Smith has posted three consecutive top-10 showings in LIV events, while Koepka has told anyone – and everyone – who’ll listen he doesn’t care about non-major tournaments.

Of course, the real kicker here is that Brooks has been busy bending the well-deserved celebration bone at Florida Panthers and Miami Heat playoff games, and I’m expecting him to arrive at this event a bit bent – if not broken.
