Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers (favored by 27 points coming in) looked amazing last weekend in a 51-3 rout over Indiana.

Wisconsin had 676 total yards of offense, 554 of which came on the ground. The defense held the Hoosiers to 224 total yards while also forcing two turnovers.

The running attack was once again unstoppable. James White had 20 rushes for 205 yards and a score, Melvin Gordon ran 13 times for 146 yards and a TD, Corey Clement had 108 yards and two scores and Jared Abbrederis made the most of his limited carries, running for 86 yards (and two touchdowns) on three touches.

Now it's time for the Badgers to take on Minnesota, having beaten them nine straight times while going 5-4 ATS in those games.

And we know what the game-plan is going to be. Run, run and run some more. Wisconsin is averaging a ridiculous 307.9 running yards per game, which puts them sixth in the nation. Defensively, the Badgers have been equally as impressive, ranking #6 in total defense.

Minnesota Golden Gophers

Even in the face of adversity, with head coach Jerry Kill dealing with health problems the Golden Gophers have been the biggest surprise in the Big Ten and one of the biggest surprises in all of college football.

Minnesota's 24-10 triumph over Penn State was their fourth consecutive victory, both straight up and against the spread.

Phillip Nelson was 15-of-24 for 186 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 40 yards and a score. Running back David Cobb continued his stellar season, finishing with 27 attempts for 139 yards and a TD while also tacking on three catches for 30 yards.

Like Wisconsin, the Golden Gophers love to get the run game going – they've averaged 218.5 rushing yards per game, but overall they're all the way down at #94 in total offense.

Defensively, Minnesota has been decent, ranking #37 against the run and #64 against the pass. That unit will face one of their toughest assignments against that formidable ground-and-pound Wisconsin attack.

College Football Pick

Their records may be the same, but when you look closer you see these teams are on different levels.

The Badgers are in the top 15 in both total offense and defense and have to be feeling good about their chances after stomping all over Indiana, BYU, Iowa, Illinois and Northwestern during their winning streak.

There's a reason Wisconsin is favored so heavily despite being on the road against a team that's also sporting a lengthy winning run. The Badgers should come out and control this game from to start to finish with all of their talented backs and we like them to win by at least two scores for our NCAAF picks in this Big Ten battle.
