The line movement for the Cincinnati vs UConn game can only mean one thing: the books are bracing themselves for a very close one in the end. Our capper provides his expert knowledge and shares with you a cashing pick

Cincinnati (-2-) vs UConn 11:30 am ET CBC TV

The Cincinnati Bearcats visit the UConn Huskies in this made-for-TV 11:30 am ET start.  In recent years, this has not been much of a contest. The last 5 seasons in reverse order have seen Cincinnati come away with victories by scores of 37-13, 41-0, 41-16, 34-17 and 35-27. That is an average margin of victory of 23 PPG. AND NOW, THEY ARE A FIELD GOAL FAVORITE? Look for the Bearcats to provide plenty of CHEAP THRILLS for their backers, as they roll up score after score in this pounding of the Husky from pillar to post. Note that the CHEAP THRILLS selections are now 4-1 ATS for the season, after Maryland thrilled their backers with a 50-7 win over Purdue last week.

Under 3rd year HC Bob Diaco (the former DC at Notre Dame), this Jersey Boy appears to be over his head. Consider the 10-20 SU record and 7-20 ATS mark that the Huskies have recorded during Diaco’s watch. This includes just 3-11 ATS on this field. Two weeks ago, in their last appearance here, UConn fell meekly to Syracuse who bolted to a 14-0 lead in a wire-to-wire underdog victory.  After averaging just 16 PPG on offense and 294 YPG in its first 2 seasons, the UConn attack unit continues to struggle this season with just 20 PPG, never topping 24 points.  Meanwhile, against Syracuse and Houston the last 2 weeks, the defense has allowed 73 points and over 1,000 yards. That is not a good recipe when facing an angry Bearcat, who has been a series dominator.

Expect no fat Cats when Cincinnati comes to town today!  For, they are 0-2 SU ATS against league powers, Houston and USF, to begin AAC play.  Look for the bounce today, as 4th year HC Tuberville is 6-3 ATS as road chalk and on a 6-2 SU run, when coming off a defeat.  As of this writing, starting QB Moore (ankle) has been downgraded to 'doubtful' for this contest.  Don’t be surprised if veteran QB Gunner Kiel, who passed for 307 yards against UConn last year, to lead the Huskies to this easy double-digit victory, providing multiple CHEAP THRILLS for Bearcat backers.
