A weekly roundup of the biggest stories and takeaways from Week 6's College Football Betting Action.

Week Six of the College Football season had its share of ups-and-downs for bettors and teams alike. We saw the highest point total in FBS history scored in a 7 overtime battle, and we also saw a potential playoff contender toppled by a +5000 dog.

Let's start off with some trends:

Week 6 Betting Trends:
Favorites Were 28-27 ATS
Road Teams Were 33-22 ATS
Unders Cashed 33-24

Unders Have Now Gone 219-172 This Year
Visitors Have Gone 224-153 ATS This Year
Teams Facing Closing Spreads of +21 or Larger Were 6-2 ATS in Week 6 And 82-47 ATS On The Year

Biggest Moneyline Upsets:
Iowa State Cyclones +5000 vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Bowling Green Falcons +526 vs. Miami Ohio RedHawks
Michigan State Spartans +400 vs. Michigan Wolverines

We already discussed how four season win total bets have now been decided, so let's move on with the rest of the weekend's biggest news.

Longest Game in MAC History
Visiting Western Michigan was pegged as a 7 point favorite over Buffalo, with a total of 51 on the boards at most online betting sites. What many thought would be your standard afternoon MAC battle turned into a seven-overtime marathon between two teams who ended up combining for 139 points. While Western Michigan failed to cover the spread, they were able to secure the 71-68 point victory.

Sooners Fall to Iowa State
A big shout out to anyone brave enough to place a +5000 wager on the Cyclones yesterday, as they managed to topple one of the most impressive looking teams in the country.

While NCAAF Championship odds are yet to be updated, many pundits now have Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State listed at the Playoff teams at this point in the season.

Sorry Baker Mayfield. Time for a taste of your own medicine.

Michigan State Beats Rival Michigan
In a battle in the rain, the Spartans walked into the Big House and essentially shut down the Michigan offense. Sure the Wolverines are withouth their starting QB, but this did feel like a must win situation for this team, and it seems that Sparty simply out-coached the home favorites.

The Spartans have now covered ten straight times against the Wolverines.

LSU & Florida See Late Line Moves
I don't know about your twitter feed, but mine was full of people discussing the drastic line moves in the LSU-Florida battle. The Gators had opened as -6.5 favorites, and were listed as +1.5 dogs by the time kickoff rolled around?

No conspiracies here, as it just seems that the sharp money was all over the Bayou Boys this weekend. A final score of 17-16 gave LSU the win and gave all of those sharp bettors something to cheer about.

Does this win help Coach O live to see another day? We will see soon enough.

Looking Ahead
The Week 7 College Football Opening Odds should hit the board soon, so be sure to give those a look, and check back later as we start to look for early value in next week's matchups.
