Ross Benjamin is coming off a solid 5-3-1 ATS record with his college football week 3 picks. Go inside to get his top 3 college football underdog picks on Saturday’s mammoth card.

Florida State vs South Florida 12:00 PM ET
Florida State is coming off a humiliating 63-20 loss at Louisville last Saturday. The Seminoles allowed Louisville to rack up 530 yards of total offense and trailed at one point 63-7 before scoring a pair of  'oh by the way' touchdowns. Florida State also allowed 34 points and 380 yards to Ole Miss during their season opener.

South Florida has scored 45 points or more in each game of a 3-0 SU&ATS start to the season. As a matter of fact, South Florida has now gone 7-0 SU&ATS in its last 7 regular season contests and won by an average of 28.0 points per game. The Bulls will also be out to atone for last year’s 34-14 loss in Tallahassee.

Appalachian State vs Akron 3:30 PM ET
Akron is coming off a resounding 65-38 upset win at Marshall. The Zips entered that contest as a large 17.5-point underdog and were in control from start to finish. Nevertheless, betting sites were unfazed by that previous result, and Akron has been installed as a home underdog. That’ll certainly provide the Zips with extra motivation.

Appalachian State is coming off an extremely disappointing performance at home last Saturday against the Miami Hurricanes. The Mountaineers had a rare opportunity to host a “Power 5 Conference” opponent, and were blown out 45-10 as a 3.5-point underdog. That was a far cry from their near upset at Tennessee in their opening game. Going on the road to face a MAC opponent, and in a game, they’re favorite to win, isn’t exactly an ideal betting situation. With that being said, I’ll be fading the road favorite for one of my college football week 4 picks.

Georgia Southern vs Western Michigan 7:00 PM ET
Georgia Southern has a massive +3.2 rush differential on their way to a 3-0 start. During last Saturday’s win over UL-Monroe, they held the Warhawks to only 67 yards rushing. At the time of this writing, in college football betting odds, Georgia Southern is a 7.0-point underdog.

Any college football underdog of 3.5 to 10.0, possessing a +2.5 or better rush differential, and they allowed 75 yards or less rushing in their previous game, resulted in those away underdogs going 31-6 (83.8%) ATS since 2012.
