Brent from BetDSI indicated a number of sides as having taken sharp action this week, and I considered putting them in the parlay for my college football picks this week.
Brent told us that Utah State was a sharp side against Hawaii last week, and they did wind up covering easily, even as a 24-point favorite. And Brent tells me that they are a sharp side again this week at UNLV, although of course all the sharp action came in when the line was under 2 touchdowns, and it’s now up to -14.5 on most betting odds boards.
Marshall over UAB is another side identified as sharp by Brent, with all the sharp action coming in when the line was less than -24, which is where it sits now.
A side in the Missouri/Kentucky game was also identified as sharp by Brent, and that also happened to be a game that I previewed with Troy West from AllPlaysWin.com. Troy and I agreed with value in that game, and the side we liked also wound up being the side that Brent said he took sharp action on, so that sealed the deal for me, and I included the side in the parlay this week.
Brent also mentioned that North Carolina took sharp action at -13, and while I didn’t include it in the parlay, I did like to hear that the sharps were betting a big favorite like that, because it probably also supports my early lean on the total in that game, which I did wind up including in the parlay.
And then to round things out, I included three other totals, all my own personal opinions. San Diego State/San Jose State, UCLA/Arizona, and Kansas St/Texas Tech are the other three games that I used to round out my 5-team round robin, with 4s.
