The #16 Utah (7-2, 4-2) took the #4Huskies to the limit last week but weren't able to seal the deal. This week, the Utes get a much easier opponent in the Arizona State (5-4, 2-4). The Utes can't look past the Sun Devils as they can play in a high profile bowl game if they continue to win. See who we like in this Pac-12 matchup as the profitable NCAAF pick.

According to 5Dimes an A+ rated sportsbook, the Utes are a 5.5 point betting favorite on the road. The total in unavailable at this time. Please check in with SBRodds.com as game time draws nearer as the betting odds will be up shortly.

Back To Business

To be the best team, a team need's to beat the best that college football has the offer and the Utah Utes proved that they can go "toe to toe" with one of the best teams in the country in the Washington Huskies. Now, the Utes defense will have to focus in on an Arizona State team which averages a hefty 35.7 points per game.

On the bright side for Utah, ASU's defense is one of the worst in the nation, allowing 36.6 points per game and 513.6 yards per game. The Utes defense has a decisive edge in this game and 5.5 points seem like a good number if you're a Utah bettor.

Williams and Williams

This isn't the name of a law firm. These are the names of the two key figures in Utah's offense. The Utes are primarily a team that likes to run the ball and running back Joe Williams has had a lot of success this season as he's run for 758 yards and 6 TD's on 6.3 yards per carry. What makes these numbers so impressive is that Williams has missed 4 games this season.

In his last 3 games, he's tallied amazing 683 yards with 6 TD's. Williams lit up the UCLA Bruins defense for 332 yards and 4 TD's. This spells trouble for Arizona State. Another part of the Utah running back is a double-threat quarterback, Troy Williams. Troy Williams has 5 rushing touchdowns this season. The Utah running game won't be stopped and Arizona State will have to play one of their best games of the season to be competitive.

Let's not forget about the 1888 yards and 9 TD's that Troy Williams has thrown for. That said, the Utes running game is their "bread and butter".

Wilkins Listed As Questionable

The Sun Devils have a starting quarterback issue as a starter, Manny Wilkins, is battling an arm injury. Wilkins is what you consider a serviceable starting quarterback for an average team in a high-level conference. Things got shaken up last week as freshman Dillon Sterling- Cole got the start against Oregon. Sterling-Cole didn't win the game and threw 3 interceptions, but he still managed to throw for over 300 yards. Even though Sterling-Cole has a lot of raw talent, he's not ready for a game against Utah and the Sun Devils would fare much better with Manny Wilkins behind center.

Kalen Ballage

The Sun Devils rely heavily on their running game which has produced 24 touchdowns this season and one player to keep an eye on is 6 foot 3, 230-pound junior, Kallen Ballage.

Ballage is a bruising type of runner as his 468 yards on 4.8 yards per carry for 12 touchdowns indicates. Against Oregon, Ballage had a huge game as he scored 2 rushing TD's and also gained over 100 yards receiving. The Utes will be hard-pressed in stopping Ballage.

This is a poor matchup for ASU as their defense can't handle the Utah rushing attack. 5.5 points is a reasonable number to lay and I expect Utah to win convincingly for your week 11 NCAAF picks.
