Top College Football Week 10 Opening Lines and Picks
The 2021 college football season has been profitable thus far, and Week 10 offers four opening lines that are must plays.
There were a few shocking moments and terrific battles during Week 9 of the college football season. This campaign continues to bring a ton of upsets at an unprecedented rate. We've never seen so many top-25 teams lose to unranked squads in college football history.
That might continue in Week 10. We're embracing the midweek MACtion, which is an ideal opportunity to add to your bankroll before the weekend. Two of my top plays of the week are midweek clashes.
Here are my top-four picks centered around the early college football Week 10 odds (Odds via DraftKings, and pick confidence is based on a one-to-five star scale).
Northern Illinois vs. Kent State Opening Line and Pick
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 3 at 8:00 p.m. ETTV: ESPN 2Location: Dix Stadium, Kent, OH
Opening Line: Over/Under 67
The Huskies are 6-2 and have been a bankroll magnet while covering six times already. Kent State has played a tougher schedule, and the school is therefore favored (-5) despite being 4-4. But the total of 67 is more intriguing.
The high total is justified after these teams combined to score 73 points last week. However, the two squads are combining to average a total of 58 each contest. Oddsmakers are overrating the scoring potential here, even though both teams field scoring defenses that rank in the 100s. The Huskies have allowed over 26 points just once since September 18, and Kent State's weekly average is skewed because of its 64-31 loss to Western Michigan two weeks ago.

Central Michigan vs. Western Michigan Opening Line and Pick
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 3 at 8:00 p.m. ETTV: ESPNULocation: Waldo Stadium, Kalamazoo, Mich.
Opening Line: Western Michigan -10
Speaking of Western Michigan, they're an automatic play for me in Week 10 with this line. The Broncos boast one of the nation's best offenses behind Kaleb Eleby and his deep cast of receivers. They're also been dominating this matchup, winning eight of the last 10 and covering six times against Central Michigan.
The Chippewas have covered just once over their last six games, and they've hit the Under in six of their last nine matchups. Though they may rank close statistically to Western Michigan, there's a clear talent discrepancy. The Broncos will win handily.

Georgia Tech vs. Miami Opening Line and Pick
Date/Time: Saturday, November 6 at 12:30 p.m. ETTV: ESPN 3Location: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Fla.
Opening Line: Miami -9
The Hurricanes' offense has been quite impressive since freshman quarterback Tyler Van Dyke took over for D'Eriq King. He's amassed 1,488 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and only four interceptions while averaging over nine yards per throw.
Miami is talented, but this is a lot of points for an unpredictable young team. The Yellow Jackets have matured, even during a bad skid with four failed covers. They match up well with Miami, so take the large spread.

Tennessee vs. Kentucky Opening Line and Pick
Date/Time: Saturday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. ETTV: ESPN 2Location: Kroger Field, Lexington, Ky.
Opening Line: Kentucky -3
Get this line before it moves further toward Kentucky. The Volunteers earned some respect by covering against three bad teams earlier in the season, but they've continued to disappoint when facing quality opponents. Kentucky may be coming off two straight losses, but the Wildcats can still run Tennessee out of its home stadium.
Wildcats quarterback Will Levis complements a defense that's solid overall. Some weeks Kentucky's defense dominates against the pass, and others it controls the run. I don't see how the Volunteers produce enough to cover with Hendon Hooker at quarterback.
