Week 10 College Football Games You Need to Circle:

The race for a title in all five major conferences continues into Week 10 of the college football season with a number of great matchups on the betting board at SBR Odds. The following five showdowns should be circled with a few key betting stats and trends that could have an impact on a winning play.

ACC- Virginia Tech (-2.5) at Miami

The Hokies are sitting at No. 13 in the latest AP Top 25 heading into their biggest game of the year. They are coming off back-to-back victories against North Carolina and Duke at home both straight-up and against the spread covering steep double-digit spreads in each contest. Virginia Tech is now 7-1 SU with a 5-3 record ATS and the total has stayed UNDER in four of its last five games.

Miami fell to No. 9 in the rankings this week despite running its record to a perfect 7-0 SU with Saturday’s 24-19 victory on the road against North Carolina. The Hurricanes failed to cover as heavy 21-point favorites in that game to fall to 3-4 ATS. The total stayed UNDER 55.5 points and it has now stayed UNDER the betting lines in their last five games.

Big Ten- Penn State (-11.5) at Michigan State

Penn State is going to need a short memory to cover the 11.5 points on the road after blowing a golden opportunity to get past Ohio State last week as a seven-point road underdog. The 7-1 Lions did cover to move to 6-1-1 ATS this season and the total went OVER the 57.5-point closing line after staying UNDER in five of their first seven games.

The Spartans were on the wrong end of a 39-31 overtime loss to Northwestern last Saturday as slight 1.5-point road favorites. This dropped their record to 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS. The total easily went OVER the closing 40-point line. Michigan State returns home this week with a 4-1 record ATS in five previous home games this season.

Big 12- Oklahoma at Oklahoma State (-3)

In a crucial conference matchup between a pair of bitter in-state rivals with identical 7-1 SU records including a 4-1 mark in Big 12 play, Oklahoma has been a tough team to bet on this season at an even 4-4 ATS. The Sooners did cover as heavy 19.5-point home favorites in last week’s 49-27 romp over Texas Tech.

The Cowboys’ record ATS stands at 5-3 following a 50-39 victory against West Virginia on Saturday as 7.5-point favorites on the road. The total went OVER 76 points in that game and it has gone OVER in five of their first eight games. Head-to-head in this matchup, Oklahoma is 6-1 SU in its last seven road games against Oklahoma State.

Pac-12- Stanford at Washington State (-1.5)

Stanford has now won its last five games SU with last Thursday’s 15-14 squeaker against Oregon State as a 17-point road favorite. The Cardinal are 6-2 SU with a 3-4-1 record ATS. The total stayed UNDER 56 points in that win and it has stayed UNDER in five of their last six games. They are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games on the road.

The Cougars have dropped two of their last three games both SU and ATS with Saturday’s 58-37 loss to Arizona on the road in a game that closed as a PICK. They are 7-2 SU overall and 5-4 ATS with the total staying UNDER in five of their last six games. The total has stayed UNDER in six of their last eight home games against Stanford.

SEC- LSU at Alabama (-21.5)

The Tigers have won their last three games SU to move to No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25. They are now 6-2 SU, but a costly 3-5 ATS including a 1-2 record ATS on the road this season. Coming off a bye, LSU has been able to win five of its last six road games SU. However, it is has lost its last five games against Alabama SU while going 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two SEC rivals.

Alabama continues to roll towards another SEC title game at 8-0 SU with a perfect 5-0 record in conference play. The Tide are also coming off a bye after covering a hefty 37-point spread as home favorites in a 45-7 victory against Tennessee on Oct. 21. They are an even 4-4 ATS this season with the total going OVER in four of their last six games.
