College Football
217 Boise State/218 Northern Illinois- As of now, this game has hardly moved at all. I’m seeing Boise a pretty solid -8 with a half point difference here and there. The public looks pretty split on the game and no real push from the wiseguys in either direction. Still a few hours until post, so things could change.

219 Georgia Southern/220 Bowling Green- Strong move from the wiseguys on Georgia Southern. Bowling Green goes from -7 (-7.5 eaarlier) to -5. Bowling Green has been susceptible to the run and that’s the entire Georgia Southern offense. Ga Southern finished the season with the number one ground game in all of college football. I am not really involved in this game, though we gave out a ‘lean’ on Ga Southern +7.5, which is long gone. However my one caveat, and why I didn’t make it a full play, was Ga Southern is sometimes not that effective on the ground when playing top teams. It has been a bit of a mixed bag. If Bowling Green can slow down the running game, Ga Southern could find themselves in a lot of trouble.

223 Cincinnati/224 San Diego State- Another game with a strong move form the wiseguys this morning. San Diego State goes from -1.5 to -3. San Diego State on a nine game winning streak, though their staring quarterback is out for this game, which is what kept this line low. SD State did win the Mountain West championship with their freshman back up quarterback. Cincy also going with their back up quarterback.

225 Connecticut/226 Marshall- Nothing major yet, but a bit of a push on the favorite. Marshall -4 is disappearing as the number creeps higher.

229 Southern Mississippi/230 Washington- Similar to the above game, the line is creeping higher with Washington -8 virtually gone. Washington now -8.5 and -9. Nothing yet from the wiseguys taking the points or stopping the move is any way.

243 Baylor/244 North Carolina- Almost everyone has this game up now and UNC is mostly -2.5 with a few -3’s starting to show.

255 Wisconsin/256 USC- The public is firmly behind USC here. There were some USC -3 available but that has disappeared. Now almost universally at -3.5 college football odds. Strictly public money.

263 Tennessee/264 Northwestern- This dropped from -8.5 to -7.5 in a few spots that deal with a lot of wiseguy action with their college football picks. I see Tennessee -8.5 in Las Vegas, where the public controls a lot more of the action. Or to be more accurate, the casinos don’t let the wiseguys control the action.

NFL
101 Chargers/102 Raiders- Wiseguys moved on the Raiders this morning with their NFL picks, taking them from -5 to -6. The Chargers come off a huge emotional win in what many believe will be their last game in San Diego. Now they face the Raiders, who many believe will be playing their final game in Oakland.

113 Jaguars/114 Saints- Drew Brees remains questionable at this time with an issue in his foot. The 37-year old quarterback wants to play, but cooler heads may prevail if anyone in that organization has brain left in their heads. Yeah, he’ll probably play.

119 Colts/120 Dolphins- Matthew Hasselbeck will get the start once again for the Colts. The game opened today at Dolphins -1.5 NFL odds.
