Washington vs. UCLA Odds

Washington vs. UCLA Odds Analysis

Bettors have shown slight favoritism for the visiting Huskies. With 56% of the tickets and 54% of the cash on Washington, the spread has moved from an opening line of -2 to -2.5.

There's some reverse line movement on the total. Despite 61% of the cash being wagered on the Under, the line has grown from 63.5 to 64.5.

Washington vs. UCLA ATS Pick

UCLA +3.5 (-114) ★★★★

The Bruins very publicly almost lost a home game to South Alabama two weeks ago. While bettors seem bothered by this, Oddsmakers seem unconcerned. The line opened with No. 15 Washington favored by 2, and it has quickly jumped to 3, signaling that bettors are all over the Huskies. Is this what Oddsmakers wanted to happen?

Now that Michigan State has all but imploded, it’s looking like South Alabama may be the best team either of these squads has played. Additionally, the Huskies have yet to travel for a game this season, so they could be out of sync early as they get adjusted to playing away from home.

Washington vs. UCLA O/U Pick

Over 66 (-110) ★★★

This is a high total, but with good reason. Despite both of these teams putting up solid defensive numbers, that has more to do with the competition than the actual talent of their defensive units.

The offenses are each averaging over 500 yards per game, and though you could argue they haven’t played much of anyone either, the quarterbacks for each team are very good. Michael Pennix Jr. and Dorian Thompson-Robinson have combined for 20 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season, and Pennix Jr. leads all of college football in passing yards.

Washington vs. UCLA Prop Pick

UCLA to score 40-plus points (+190) ★★★

The Bruins haven’t scored 40 or more points against the Huskies since 2014. Yet, they have the offensive prowess to accomplish just that this season.

Everyone knows that Washington wants to get up and down the field quickly and put points on the board. That has worked for the Huskies so far this year, but they have yet to face a team with as much offensive firepower as UCLA.

Thompson-Robinson should be able to connect with Jake Bobo and Kazmeir Allen often enough to keep UCLA moving down the field. Once in the red zone, it will just be about capitalizing. If they can do that, they can get up around their season average of 41.8 points per game.
