Utah vs. Arizona 10:00 PM ET
After winning Part 1 of our Death in the Desert duo with our AFP game of the week on Arizona St. this afternoon, we are ready to complete the 2nd part of our Death in the Desert parlay with the Arizona Wildcats as 6 point underdog against the Utah Utes.

Betting Analysis
Last year, Arizona won this contest (42-10) at Utah. It was one of the Utes’ most embarrassing home losses in the 11-year reign of Utah HC Whittingham. Yet, that result was not out of character in this series, considering that in the 3 matchups vs. Arizona HC Rodriguez and Whittingham, the Wildcats have prevailed by that 42-10 count last year, as well as 35-24 and 34-24 in the 2 preceding years. Despite that series dominance, clearly favoring the Arizona offense, the Wildcats have still been installed as a 6 point underdog on their home field. We are all in!

No doubt that Utah is an outstanding team with a record of 8-1 SU, 6-3 ATS in which they have covered the number by a net of 58 points. The only loss has come at USC (42-24) a (-4) net TO debacle. The Arizona pointspread results have been at the other end of the spectrum. A 5-5 SU record, including 3 straight losses, have left the Wildcats with a 4-6 ATS mark in which they have failed to cover by a net 49 points. This victory is needed for Bowl eligibility. Of greater significance, is that the combined net AFP differential of (-107) clearly favors Arizona with the realization that this line is 2 TDs from where it would have been opening week. That makes this, along with the series dominance, our feline feature of the week.

Last week, the Utes survived with a 34-23 win at Washington. It came courtesy of 4 Husky TOs and despite a 381-346 yardage discrepancy. Arizona, meanwhile, fell 38-30 to USC but put up a whopping 352 passing yards. What the Wildcats lack on the defensive side of the ball, they make up with a 200 CLUB offense that averages 37 PPG and over 500 YPG with at least 246 YPG, both running and passing. It is clear from past results that the Utes’ defense has a problem stopping the spread offense of Arizona HC Rodriguez.

Final Analysis
We complete Part II of our death in the desert parlay with the Arizona Wildcats as our feline feature of the week. I invite you to join me with my college football pick with Arizona as we put the college football odds in our favor.
