The Arizona State Sun Devils have been known to start fast and finish strong under head coach Todd Graham, as they prepare to take on the UCLA Bruins Saturday.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football betting lines for this Pac-12 Conference matchup at the Rose Bowl, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET on FOX.

Running downhill

Arizona State is riding a five-game winning streak, which includes a 30-17 victory over the Oregon State Beavers as 13.5-point home favorites last Saturday, while winning the statistical battle in four of those contest in that span.

The Sun Devils have outrushed their last four opponents by an average of 176.7 yards, with running back Marion Grice leading the way.  He is the 15th player in the conference to score 20 or more touchdowns in a season since 1978.

Winning at home

College football handicappers are going to be a bit surprised that the Bruins are listed as home underdogs, considering they’ve won 10 of 12 games at this historic venue during the Jim Mora era.

UCLA has compiled a dominating 8-3 SUATS record as a home underdog of three or fewer points in its last 11 opportunities, with the UNDER going 7-4 in that situation.

Creating opportunity

The Sun Devils have forced a turnover in all 23 games during the Todd Graham era, while they lead the Pac-12 and rank seventh nationally with 17 interceptions this season.

Arizona State is 2-0 SUATS as road favorites of three or fewer points the last two-plus seasons.

A two-way street

Myles Jack has captured the imagination of Westwood in recent weeks, as he’s played a critical role on both sides of the ball in leading UCLA to victory in its last three games, including a four-touchdown performance in a 41-31 home win over Washington last Friday.

The Bruins have been preaching a “next man up” mentality on the practice field all year, but they may come up flat against one of the more physical teams in the country in Week 13.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Sun Devils for their college football picks, as they’ve outscored the opposition by a 238-102 margin in the first quarter since the arrival of Graham on campus, while closing out games by holding a plus-125 advantage in the final 15 minutes.

College Football Pick: Arizona State Sun Devils -2.5
