The UCF Knights travel to the Big House after demolishing their opening week opponent 38-0. Let’s start out on the right track as we review the college football odds and look to fatten our bankroll.

Swinger’s 2016 NCAAF Record (0-0, +0.00 units)
I can only hope I get off to a fast start in establishing a solid NCAAF record and duplicate my efforts from this season’s MLB season where I sit this morning with a record of 71-46 (60.68%) and plus 23.70 units based solely on one unit wagers. We will do our due diligence and attempt to cash our free ncaa football picks with the same scrutinizing eye and steely resolve as we navigate the often treacherous waters made even more tumultuous when considering the college football odds week in and week out. Let’s get started as the Wolverines lay in wait at the Big House hoping to slaughter the UCF Knights.

Football is Back in Ann Arbor
Jim Harbaugh left his professional coaching gig in San Francisco to return to his roots in Ann Arbor amidst soaring expectations last season. He delivered a 10-3 regular season record and punctuated his triumphant return with a 41-7 thrashing of the Florida Gators in the Citrus Bowl. Overall, the Wolverines would march out of their 2015 campaign with an 11-3 record and a money making 8-5-1 ATS mark.

Michigan’s opening day opponent never stood a chance as the Wolverines and their rabid fan base would not allow them to escape the Big House without a good ol’ fashioned whoopin’. Hawaii flew in for their first game of 2016 and couldn’t get off the mainland fast enough as the Wolverines decimated the Rainbow Warriors by the score of 63-3. Junior quarterback Wilton Speight rebounded from a first play interception to end the game with 145 yards and three touchdown strikes in his 2016 debut.

Betting Analysis
This line opened up at 34 ½ but as of this Tuesday morning writing that line has climbed to 35 ½ and even 36 in some offshore shops. The novice would look at that and not be dissuaded from laying the lumber but as seasoned gamblers are all too familiar, five touchdowns equals 35 points and that could very well be an important number in this event.

With only one game under each team’s belt this season, the question really comes down to whether you lean towards the chalk or the dogs. UCF won handily over an outgunned opponent in South Carolina State by the score of 38-0. Now they turn around and have to fly into one of the most hostile environments in all of college football. They are also coming off a winless season in a conference that boasts only one real college football power of the 12 teams that reside in the American Athletic Conference - the Houston Cougars.

With so little to go on early in the season my advice is to always tread cautiously until there is enough evidence to support a position one way or the other. As far as this matchup is concerned I would look towards one piece of information that has me leaning towards the underdog. Jim Harbaugh has no problem resting starters during this early and elementary part of the schedule. He did it last game when All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis sat out while working through a minor injury and add to that defensive linemen Taco Charlton and Bryan Mone won’t see action this weekend.

The bottom line here is that Harbaugh wants his big guns rested and healthy when the competition begins in earnest. That won’t happen until a few weeks from now when they take on more of a threat in Penn State but even the Nittany Lions are not what they once were. In addition, I don’t see Harbaugh forsaking his careful strategy to simply run up the score. If it happens, it happens but he won’t go to extraordinary lengths to do so. In addition, UCF appears emboldened by first-year head coach Scott Frost, formerly the offensive coordinator of the high-flying Oregon Ducks, and with a fresh start these young men are convinced they can do the impossible.

Grab the increasingly favorable line and give the road dog a shot here.
