The Big 12 gets our attention with this edition of our top free college football picks, and we're focusing on the three teams still undefeated in the conference standings.

Baylor Bears vs. West Virginia Mountaineers
Our tour through the top games in the Big 12 this weekend begins in Morgantown where the West Virginia Mountaineers host the No. 4 Baylor Bears in a 12 PM (ET) matchup that can be seen on FOX Sports 1. Baylor started off as 8 point road chalk before that spread was knocked down a notch to 7½, and SBR's live college football odds have tracked the total descending from 81½ to 80.

Art Briles and the Bears are in the conference catbird seat after pulling off an amazing rally at home against TCU last Saturday. Trailing 58-37 with 11½ minutes remaining, Bryce Petty directed four drives netting the game's final 24 points for the 61-58 victory that had already gone past a 67½ point total in the third quarter. Petty threw for more than 500 yards and six touchdowns, but also tossed a couple of picks.

West Virginia is starting a 3-game stretch against ranked teams with this contest, and the Mountaineers are 0-2 in that department this season after dropping their opener to then-No. 2 Alabama and losing at home to then-No 4 Oklahoma a month ago. They did manage to cover with the help of 22 points against the Crimson Tide, and rebounded from the loss to the Sooners with wins over Kansas and Texas Tech, but failed to beat the spread in either of those wins to leave West Virginia backers 3-3 ATS.

If you've followed this short-lived series at all, then you're aware of the scoreboard-bustin' affairs Baylor and West Virginia have played the last two years. The Mountaineers posted a 70-63 decision in 2012 when the Bears came to Morgantown, that game going past a 69 point total by halftime, and Baylor repaid WVU with a 73-42 record performance in Waco last October. A cool and possibly damp afternoon in Morgantown could keep the scoring down in this one, and that's why I'm going with the Bears for my free college football pick.

Kansas State Wildcats vs. Oklahoma Sooners
One of two games pitting ranked teams in the Big 12 on this week's NCAA football odds the No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats look to remain unbeaten in conference play with a tough clash at the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners. Another noon boot in the Big 12, ESPN will broadcast this matchup from Norman where the skies should be mostly clear and temps reaching the low-70s during the afternoon.

Oklahoma went out as a 10 point favorite, but that spread has since dropped to -7 while the total has shrunk to 55 from the opening 59 point mark.

Bill Snyder has had a couple of weeks to prepare K-State for the Sooners. The Wildcats pulled off a sizeable upset on their last trip to Norman in 2012, never needing the 15 points oddsmakers were giving them in a 24-19 outright win.

Oklahoma did bounce back from its loss at TCU a couple of weeks ago with a 31-26 win last Saturday over Texas, but Trevor Knight and the OU offense struggled with 14 points attributed to the Sooner defense and special teams. Knight & Company are expected to be without backup running back Keith Ford for a 4th-straight week while the sophomore deals with an injured leg.

I like the Sooners to hand the 'Cats their first Big 12 defeat, and will once again be laying the points on the favorite.

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. TCU Horned Frogs
One more battle between a pair of ranked Big 12 teams on our list takes place in Ft. Worth where the No. 12 TCU Horned Frogs collide with the No. 15 Oklahoma State Cowboys (4 PM ET, FOX Sports 1). It's the third consecutive top 15 school from the conference that Texas Christian has faced, and the Frogs are 10 point favorites after starting a point higher.

There's no doubt that TCU is still smarting from the loss last week to Baylor; relaxing too early with a lead against such an explosive offense as the Bears will always get you in trouble. Oklahoma State almost pulled the same stunt in Lawrence against Kansas, needing a 99-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter for a 27-20 win to avoid being embarrassed as 20 point chalk.

This total has been stuck on 62 for the most part since it first went out, dipping to 61½ for just a bit before quickly stepping back up. I'm looking for it never topping 60 with my final free pick on the low side of the scoreboard barrier.

College football picks: Baylor -7.5; Oklahoma -7; Ok. State-TCU Under 62
Season: 34-23-1 (+8.70)
