There's not a whole lot to choose from when making our college basketball picks tonight, but we still feel confident about our two total selections.

Cornell Big Red vs. Yale Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are heavy favorites (-10) on the NCAA basketball betting odds for tonight's home showdown with Cornell, and they'll be eager to add another win to their tally in order to keep pace with Harvard, who is pretty much their only competition in the Ivy League race right now. Both teams are 7-1 in conference play heading into tonight's games. With regards to the total, we see an O/U of 123, which is about in line with what we expected to see.

Yale has done quite well offensively and that's been a big reason for the team's success. Averaging just shy of 70 points (69.8) points per game and also posting solid field goal percentage and assist numbers, the Bulldogs have used that efficiency to race to the top of the conference. Individually, it's been Justin Sears and Javier Duran that have been doing most of the heavy lifting - the pair has combined to average 28.1 points per game on the year.

Meanwhile, the Big Red haven't been nearly as productive on the offensive end of the floor, which is why the total has stayed pretty low for Friday night. Cornell is averaging 63.9 points per contest, with a good chunk of that production coming from Shonn Miller, who's posted great averages of 16.1 PPG and 8.3 RPG.

We believe tonight's game has a good chance of finishing above the posted total, mainly because of Yale. There shouldn't be much resistance from the the Big Red in this one, so we expect the Bulldogs to hit at least 65-70 points, which would mean Cornell would just have to avoid a total letdown offensively for the OVER not to hit.

NCAA Baskebtall Pick: Over 123 at 5Dimes

For More College Basketball Action Check Out Our NCAA Basketball Picks of the Day

Marist Red Foxes vs. Iona Gaels
The latest game on the schedule tonight pits the Gaels against the Red Foxes, with the college basketball odds board showing Iona as a clear-cut 8.5-point favorite. The O/U is listed at 147, which is the highest number of the night, suggesting a high-tempo, back-and-forth game with plenty of offense.

The reason for the high total? Iona. The Gaels have been as efficient offensively as any team in the country. They're averaging a very impressive 81.1 points per game, which is the fourth-best mark in all of college basketball. You know you're doing something right when you're putting up those kind of numbers on a nightly basis. With four guys who average at least 14.2 points per game, Iona gets points from all over the place, though David Laury (20.5 PPG) and A.J. English (19.5) have been the two biggest standouts for the Gaels.

The Red Foxes, understandably, don't come close to sniffing Iona's effectiveness offensively. They've averaged a mere 60.7 points per game, which ranks them 317th in the nation. Marist has been a mess all season long, recording an awful 5-21 overall record and a 4-12 mark in conference play. Despite their struggles, the Red Foxes are getting great things from Chavaughn Lewis and Khallid Hart, who are averaging 36.5 points per game between them.

As for tonight, we once again see some value in taking the OVER to wrap up our sports picks for the day. The Gaels have been ridiculously good offensively all season long and should be able to help this total stay north of the posted number, especially since the Red Foxes haven't exactly impressed on the defensive end. Looking to push the pace wherever possible, Iona will be perfectly fine with allowing Marist to score here and there, as they'll know they'll be able to outlast the home team in the end.
