Sunday provides a decent amount of NCAA Basketball Games and with the post-season right around the corner, there will be more urgency from competitive teams in the mix. This will give the bettor more of an edge when finding the better totals to play for the night. See who I like as my picks for the last Sunday of February.

Washington (14-11, 3-10) vs. Washington State (11-14, 5-8)

Down the Drain!
I say this more about the Washington Huskies than I do about the Cougars. The Huskies were in the driver's seat to make the post season and have basically "spit the bit" with 7 consecutive losses as the month of February comes to a close.

It's not so much their overall record, but their conference record of 3-10 might appear to eliminate Washington from the NCAA Tournament.. They would have to win the Pac-12 tournament, in my opinion, to make the Big Dance. This is a team that is very streaky and they are coming off of 3 consecutive losses of under 70 points in each game, and you should keep this in mind when looking over the NCAA basketball odds.

As far as the Cougars are concerned, they need to win the Pac- 12 Tournament and this seems highly unlikely. WSU is coming off of a very telling loss as they lost to the Arizona Wildcats, 86-59.

The Cougars haven't been much better than the Huskies as they have lost 7 out of their last 9 games. This has been an inconsistent team, but at times, have managed to score effectively. This game comes down to a very high betting total of 151 and I definitely think that this total is too high for the way that these teams have been playing lately, especially Washington.

For the Huskies, expect to see a lot of Nigel-Goss Williams and Andrew Andrews. Both of these players are coming off of big time efforts against Arizona State as they accounted for 39 points of the Huskies offense. For the Cougars, Josh Hawkinson has had a spectacular season as he's been an automatic double-double each game, averaging 14.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. That said, Hawkinson has tailed off a bit lately with back to back 6 point performances.

This is a game of two teams that are at a low point and are just looking for a "W" any way that they can get it. The total isn't a factor to them and odds makers have placed it very high. Let's take the under in this spot.

NCAA Basketball Pick- Washington/Washington State Under 151 at 5Dimes

Check Out Our NCAA Basketball Picks of the Day & Increase Your Profit!

USC (10-16, 2-12) vs. Arizona State (14-12, 6-7)

Run the Regular Season Table
It might be asking too much, but Arizona State could maybe afford 1 more loss and they'll be in jeopardy of not making the Big Dance. A win over Arizona on February 7th could be good enough to give the Sun Devils a look, but they need another big win in Utah on the upcoming schedule and Stanford is beatable.

In the meanwhile, the Sun Devils get a very desirable matchup at home against a USC Trojans team that simply isn't good enough to beat any of the teams in their conference.

USC is 1-9 in their last 10 games. During this stretch of poor play, USC has been ineffective for the most part offensively. The one noticeable trend is that they score 60 point or less against top 25 teams while elevating their offensive game against the lesser teams. Arizona State is more of middle of the pack type of team and I could see USC putting up some points and making the Sun Devils work for what appears to be an easy Arizona State win.

Where Will the Points Come From?

This is my major concern in this game as neither team has a player that can take over a game in general. Nikola Jovanovic is the highest scoring player in this game at 12.4 points per game and his main objective is to play good defense and rebound the basketball. However, sophomore Savon Goodman has been in beast mode for the Sun Devils lately. He's coming off of an 8 for 8 shooting performance against UCLA and is averaging 15.4 points and 12 rebounds in his last 4 games. Look for a huge game out of Goodman as he's on a major run.

Look for a high scoring game here, and bet 'over' with your college basketball picks, as I expect the Trojans to give the Sun Devils a bit of a tough time in the role of spoiler in an ASU victory.

NCAA Basketball Pick- USC/Arizona State Over 142.5 at Bookmaker
