There are four games on Thursday’s NCAAF slate but there are only two that we will include in our college football picks. Let’s get a jump on the weekend and fatten our wallets tonight!

Toledo (6-1 SU, 3-4 ATS) vs. Ball State (2-5 SU, 2-4-1 ATS)

The college football odds makers opened Toledo as 19 ½ point road favorites but that number has soared to as high as -25 at 5Dimes. Not only are the Rockets unbeaten in MAC play but they are also being led by senior quarterback Logan Woodside who has been sublime this season with 17 touchdown strikes and just two picks. Add to that the injury woes of Ball State who have not only been without their starting QB Riley Neal and tailback James Gilbert over the last four games, all losses by the way, but whose offensive line has also been bitten by the injury bug. Even backup quarterback Jack Milas’s status is uncertain after an elbow injury he sustained in last week’s 56-9 thrashing at the hands of Central Michigan.

Although laying this enormous lumber on the road against a conference foe is hard to swallow, it is a bitter pill we must swallow because the Cardinals are averaging just 19.7 points per game but a mere nine PPG over this most recent four-game losing streak. Compare that to the 20th ranked point producer in the nation, Toledo, averaging 37.7 points per game against a Ball State team tied for 107th allowing 34.7 PPG. The only thing the Cardinals have going for them in this one is the venue and that won’t be enough to prevent a massive beating on Thursday night. Back the Rockets in your college football picks.

Free NCAAF Pick: Toledo -24 ½

Best Line Offered: at JustBet

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3187973, "sportsbooksIds":[1275,1096,19,93,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

Eastern Michigan (2-5 SU, 5-2 ATS) vs. Northern Illinois (5-2 SU, 5-2 ATS)

We turn our attention to another MAC game in which Eastern Michigan travels to Northern Illinois. Both teams have done well this season for those including the Eagles and Huskies in their college football picks, having covered the number in five of their seven games thus far. Although Eastern Michigan comes into this one in the basement of the MAC West, we like the way they have played and hung tough in virtually all of their games this season. Their opponent, Northern Illinois, may also be without their starting running back Jordan Huff who is sidelined with an undisclosed injury and did not play in last week’s 48-17 win over lightly regarded Bowling Green. Although these teams have disparate records they are not far apart in terms of talent. I will take the touchdown head start being given the visitors and back the Eagles on Thursday night.

Free NCAAF Pick: Eastern Michigan +7 ½ (-115)

Best Line Offered: at Bovada

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3188155, "sportsbooksIds":[999996,1096,19,139,180], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
