We've got five good reasons why you should bet on college football this week. And the best NCAA football pick of them all just might be the Oregon Ducks at home against Virginia.

So you're looking for a solid College Football expert picks this week? How about we give you five. Some of these Saturday matchups will have more betting value than others, but each one has multiple angles that are worth looking into. Enjoy the games, and may the prolate spheroid be with you.

Penn State Nittany Lions vs Pittsburgh Panthers (–6)
12:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

The chalk circus begins at Heinz Field, where there's a 50-percent chance of thunderstorms messing up this game – but not until later in the afternoon. Penn State is a very public team coming out of the Big Ten, recent history notwithstanding. The Panthers don't get a lot of love in the ACC; they might still be available at –5 if you shop around the College Football Odds Board, or if you wait until closer to kick-off.

Free NCAAF Pick: Pitt –4.5
Best Line Offered: at BetDSI

Wyoming Cowboys vs Nebraska Cornhuskers (–24.5)
12:00 p.m. ET, ESPN2

The betting public should be on Nebraska in this case, but the Cowboys have some fans in the Mountain West, and mismatches like these distort the marketplace as it is. The 'Huskers just got through whipping Fresno State 43-10 as 28.5-point favorites in Lincoln. Early consensus reports had 62 percent of bettors on Nebraska.

Free NCAAF Pick: Nebraska –24.5
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

Kentucky Wildcats vs Florida Gators (–16.5)
3:30 p.m. ET, CBS

Not much love for the Gators here – Kentucky was a unanimous early pick at +16.5 on our NCAA Football odds board, and held on to much of that support while rising to +17. We don't have a lot of faith in the Wildcats, though. They're 0-5 ATS in their last five games against winning teams, and TeamRankings projects UK to win just 3.2 games this year, well below the original total of five.

Free NCAAF Pick: Florida –16 (–115)
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

UNLV Runnin' Rebels vs UCLA Bruins (–26)
8:00 p.m. ET, PAC-12

Again, lots of early underdog support from the sharps, although UCLA is the preferred consensus pick at press time. The Bruins will no doubt be the public pick here, and they appear to be overvalued; ESPN's Football Power Index has them winning 95.9 percent of the time, or –2336 on our SBR Betting Odds Conveter. UCLA's best Moneyline price is –2695.

Free NCAAF Pick: UNLV +26
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

Virginia Cavaliers vs Oregon Ducks (–24.5)
10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

In theory, the Cavaliers should be a value pick in Year One under head coach Bronco Mendenhall. But they got squished 37-20 by the Richmond Spiders (+11 away) of the FCS. The resurgent Ducks are No. 24 in the polls, and they should have LT Tyrell Crosby back in the lineup after he missed last week's opener with an injured foot.

Free NCAAF Pick: Oregon –24
Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes
