They are located in nearby Plano, TX. AdvoCare is an innovational nutritional and weight management company. They also specialize in sports performance and skin care products. In this contest, I expect a high-scoring game between the Air Raid offensive attack of Texas Tech and a LSU team who will have more of a free flow on offense now that the pressures of the regular SEC season are behind them.

Betting Preview
It was a turbulent season for LSU. The year began with the Tigers dominating their first 7 foes overland behind RB Fournette in an undefeated start. But, a trio of early November losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi, in which the Tigers were outscored by a combined 99 to 47 points had LSU backers calling for the scalp of HC Miles. Even in a 19-7 season-ending victory against Texas A&M, there was not nearly enough offensive spark to satisfy their supporters. In order to give the people what they want, it will not be a surprise to this bureau to see LSU open it up against a very pliable Texas Tech defense.

In the 3rd year under the leadership of former Red Raider signal caller, Kliff Kingsbury, TTRR had their best and most explosive offensive season. Running the Air Raid attack to near perfection, TTRR went 7-5 SU ATS and went OVER the posted total in 9/12 of those contests. The offense averaged 49 PPG on a balanced 206/5.7 overland and 390/8.3 through the airways. Thus, they totaled nearly 596 yards! Only 3 of their 12 games had a total of fewer than 89 points. And an equal part of the reason for the high scoring games came as a result of a defense that allowed 43/543. That unit was equally permissive both overland where they allowed 275/6.0 and in the air where they allowed 268/7.7. Typical of their season were high-scoring season closing wins against Kansas St. (59-44) and Texas (48-45) which garnered them this Bowl invitation. The LSU defense which allowed 24 PPG was the most permissive it has been in many seasons.

Final Analysis
Playing a highly-respected SEC team like LSU is a positive reward for a Texas Tech team who appears in a Bowl Game for the 2nd time under Kingsbury. They will be eager to put their Air Raid attack on display for the nation. For LSU, there will be much less intensity, as this is far from their first choice of Bowl Games.
