The one thing that Ole Miss has in their favor is that this is a home game against Texas A&M. Can the Rebels take advantage of a fan-freindly crowd and beat the college football odds in the process?

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th, at 7:00 p.m. ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field in Oxford, Mississippi. According to 5Dimes, the Rebels are a 6-point betting favorite and the total for the game is 64 points on the college football odds board. Lots of points are expected from 2 capable offenses.

The #24 Ole Miss Runnin Rebels have set themselves back a bit after last week's 37-24 loss to the Memphis Tigers. After all, this was a team that beat Alabama earlier in the season and Memphis was just another win on their schedule. It didn't happen that way and now they must face a tougher team in the #15 Texas A&M Aggies (5-1, 2-1).

A Short in the Scoreboard?
There may be an electrical problem in the scoreboard with the offensive capabilities that these two team possess as Ole Miss averages an incredible 43.6 points per game and Texas A&M averages 36.5 points. On the flipside, the over could be in question as both team possess respectable defenses. Ole Miss allows their opponents to just 22.1 points per game. That's almost half of their offensive point total for the 2015-2016 NCAA Football Season going into their 7th game.

A Poor Time For a Loss
Although the Aggies are ranked higher than the Rebels, they ran into Alabama last week at the wrong time. Let's remember, this is a team that Ole Miss beat earlier in the season.

Texas A&M was in their house, but Alabama running back, Derrick Henry, was a one man wrecking crew as he rushed for a career high 236 yards and 2 TD's. Another major factor is turnovers as we know when a team commits multiple turnovers, it usually leads to a loss. The Aggies committed 4 turnovers as opposed to Alabama's 1 and this was the difference in the football game.

The Aggies can't get out to another slow start like they did against "Bama" as they were trailing 28-6 and Ole Miss will definitely be looking to make up for a poor showing. What you basically have is two teams desperately trying to avoid a 2nd consecutive loss and remain within the elite teams in the country.

The Passing Rebels
This is a team that's been called the "Runnin Rebels" but in essence, this is a passing squad with Chad Kelly leading the way. Thus far this season, Kelly has thrown for 2234 yards with 16 TD's and 7 INT's In his last 2 games, Kelly has been on fire with 756 yards, 5 TD and 3 INT.

I look for another big game out of this junior from Buffalo, New York as he's gotten better ever season at Ole Miss. Kelly will be looking to focus on his "Big 3" in Laquon Treadwell, Cody Core, and Quincy Adeboyejo. All 3 of these receivers have caught for 400 yards or more with Treadwell leading the way with 654 yards and 4 TD's. The running game has been Ole Miss' Achilees Heel as Jaylen Walton has had a problem getting on track.

Bombs Away!
Where Texas A&M is concerned, they have a bit more of a passing game, but not as good and aerial attack as the Rebels. Expect for a lot of Kyle Allen to Christian Kirk as the Aggies have big play receivers in Kirk and Josh Reynolds, who averages over 20 yards per catch. Running back, Tra Carson, has scored a touchdown in 4 out of his last 6 games and could be the "x-factor" here. I expect a ton of points to be scored between these two talented teams so back over with your college football picks.
