The Horned Frogs, fresh off a thrilling road win over Texas Tech, return home this weekend and will host Texas as big-time favorites on the college football odds board. What's the play?

Odds Overview
Many are expecting a walk in the park for the Horned Frogs, and it's hard to disagree. They've been excellent to start the season, and this weekend they'll find themselves favored by 15 points on the college football odds board, with some sites offering a number of 14.5.

A lot of offense is expected again this weekend, with the opening total at 70.5 points. Considering TCU alone is averaging 50.5 points per game, you can see why the number is so high.

TCU Horned Frogs
What a game we saw last week, as the Horned Frogs survived a back-and-forth game to win 55-52 on the road against Texas Tech. In what was one of the most exciting matchups you'll see in college football this season, TCU survived thanks to a huge day from QB Trevone Boykin, who threw for 485 yards and four touchdowns.

Boykin got plenty of help too, with running back Aaron Green scampering for 162 yards and two scores and Josh Doctson going off for 18 receptions for 267 yards and three of the four TDs thrown by Boykin. What a day it was for that Horned Frogs offense, and now they'll try to keep it going versus Texas.

There's little reason to expecta dropoff in performance heading into Week 5 of the college football season, particularly since TCU will be back at home. Boykin's a legit Heisman contender and should be salivating at the chance to add to his resume in front of the Horned Frogs faithful.

Texas Longhorns
A tough schedule certainly hasn't helped the Longhorns early on, as they've opened the season by losing three of their first four games. They've fallen to Notre Dame, California and Oklahoma State, with the one win coming at home over Rice.

The Longhorns gave it everything they had against the Cowboys, only to fall short by three points last week. Jerrod Heard struggled in the defeat, compiling just 119 passing yards without a touchdown throw while getting picked once too. It was a forgettable performance from the Texas offense, and they'll simply have to do much better to have any chance of being competitive with the high-flying Horned Frogs this weekend.

Heard has shown some good things since taking over the starting QB spot, but he's done most of his damage with his legs and still has a long way to go in the passing game. That's a worrying sign ahead of this meeting with TCU, as we know the Horned Frogs are going to be putting up a lot of points no matter what. How will Texas keep up?

Betting Outlook
The Horned Frogs were a mess defensively last week, but that was against a potent Texas Tech offense on the road. We think they'll fare better in this spot, at home against a weaker Texas team.

That's one of the main reasons we see TCU covering this huge spread on Saturday. We know what Boykin and company are capable of offensively; they're going to score plenty of points, and it doesn't really matter who the competition is. That's just how good they've been on that side of the ball.

Right now, there's just no way we can fade a true Heisman contender on his home turf. Boykin has been lights out, and he's got plenty of talent surrounding him that are helping the cause, namely Green out of the backfield and Doctson in the receiving corps. Texas has been better with Heard at quarterback, but we just don't see them keeping pace in this spot. Back TCU with your college football picks.
