Toledo vs. Bowling Green (-7) 6:00 ET ESPN2
We kick off CFB Week 12 with our Midweek Snack in the MAC I, as Toledo travels south to meet their in-city rival, Bowling Green, for this 6:00 pm ET time kick as televised by ESPN2.  With last night’s outright victory by Houston, our streak of SBR video winners has now reached 15-1 ATS!  Included in that was last Tuesday’s victory with Toledo (-4) in their (28-23) cover vs. C. Michigan. In that game, the Rockets led 21-0 only to watch a game Chippewa team close to (21-17). But, a key defensive stand by the Rockets and ensuing touchdown extended the margin for Toledo.  Bowling Green was also flexing their muscles last week with a (41-27) road victory at W. Michigan as -3 point road chalk.  That win clinched the MAC East for Bowling Green with a 6-0 SU record.

This city rivalry game has been one-sided of late with Toledo recording 5 consecutive victories against the Falcons. Last year, it was a 27-20 win for Toledo, as they outgained the Falcons 388-271 holding the high-flying Falcons to their season low in yardage. Previous scores in reverse order are victories by Toledo of 28-25, 27-15, 28-21 and 33-14. Yet, now they are the underdog…sign us up! While Bowling Green has clinched the MAC East, Toledo enters tonight in a 3-way tie with NIU and W. Michigan for the MAC West lead. Toledo’s loss is to N. Illinois (the NIU loss is to C. Michigan, while the W. Michigan loss is to BG). Five-time defending champion, N. Illinois, holds the scheduling advantage, but Toledo remains in the hunt. The Rockets’ 200 CLUB offense is led by Alabama transfer, QB Ely, and balanced by a ground game that averages 217/5.3. Toledo already has victories at SEC Power, Arkansas this year, and against BIG 12 member, Iowa St.

The Game
Playing with 5 time revenge, do not expect any letdown from Bowling Green, despite the fact they have clinched their division. This team has rolled through the season with an 8-2 SU ATS mark, covering the number by a net of 147 points, among the biggest AFP margins in the country! Much like Toledo, they have national victories vs. Maryland and Purdue. They are led by QB Johnson, whose 414 PYPG goes a long way toward their offensive averages of 45/584. The Achilles Heel is a defense allowing 28/440.

I'm eager to line up with series dominator Toledo as 7 point dog at this value price based on the (+147) AFP for Bowling Green this season! With the more balanced offense, the superior defense and more to play for in the divisional standings, I invite you to put the college football odds in your favor and join me with my college football pick on the Toledo Rockets as the Midweek Snack in the MAC I.
