The AAC and Conference USA have their championships early on Saturday, plus we have a free NCAA football pick for Florida State’s hurricane makeup game.

NCAAF Season Record: 40-45-6 (-6.20)

Saturday is all about conference championships, and there’s no better way to enjoy the early games than with a Bloody Mary as we make our first noon (ET) stop in Orlando, where the AAC title will be waged between No. 14 Central Florida and No. 20 Memphis -- the winner should earn the Group of 5's New Year's Six bowl spot. A rematch from the end of September, the Knights are a touchdown favorite over the Tigers on the NCAA football odds where we find the day’s highest total, a whopping 81.

The Sept. 30 meeting also took place in Orlando, and the Knights rolled to a 40-13 victory. The win was the 10th straight for UCF in the series and the final stayed well ‘under’ a 68½-point total despite the teams combining for 999 yards of total offense. It was the conference opener for both, and remains Memphis’ only loss while the Knights are unbeaten.

The Tigers were a solid ‘over’ play all season (8-3 O/U) while Central Florida’s last three went past the totals. Still, that’s a lot of points even if these are the two top scoring teams in the nation. Under mostly sunny skies with the thermometer climbing to a humid 80°, I’m finding value on the low side of the total plus a money line grab on the outright upset.

UNT Heads East To Battle FAU For C-USA Crown

I gotta admit to not paying much attention to goings-on in Conference USA, but that isn’t going to stop me from making a free college football pick on the championship game between the North Texas Mean Green and Florida Atlantic Owls in Boca Raton. Wagering particulars for the matchup include FAU laying 11-11½ with another high total, 72½-73.

This is yet another rematch of a lopsided meeting earlier this season, the Owls smoking the Mean Green in a 69-31 rout that saw Florida Atlantic score on its first 11 drives. It’s also a matchup between the Nos. 10 and 17 highest-scoring teams, their October matchup going ‘over’ with three minutes to go in the third. Heck, I gotta play the Owls if only because Lane Kiffin will run it up if he gets the chance.

’Noles Eye Bowl Eligibility In Hurricane Makeup

Our last brunch cocktail stop isn’t for a conference title, but Florida State still has a bowl invite to play for against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. BetOnline has the Seminoles -26½ with 64 for the total in the makeup from the September cancellation caused by Hurricane Irma.

A lot has been made about Jimbo Fisher being courted for other head coaching jobs, namely Texas A&M. So, we wonder if that will affect FSU players, at least those who haven’t already been injured on a beaten-up Seminoles roster. Then again, this is not a very good ULM side, especially on defense where Matt Viator’s crew ranks next-to-last in allowing more than 530 yards per game. I don’t see where the ‘Hawks have much to play for, and even though it’s not fun for me to lay nearly four touchdowns, that’s my play.

Free NCAAF Picks: UofM-UCF Under 81; UofM +245; UNT-FAU Over 72½; FSU -26½

Best Lines Offered: BetOnline
