After you've researched the college football odds board and zeroed in on the side or total that will bring you riches, what's worse than not accounting for miserable weather that will change the course of the games in a way you never expected? Let's take a look at Saturday's college football slate to make sure it doesn't happen to us!

3:30 PM ET Syracuse vs. Miami (FL)

No. 8 Miami will host the Orangemen of Syracuse who are coming off the biggest stunner in college football this season when they defeated the Clemson Tigers 27-24 last week. The Hurricanes opened as 14½ point favorites but that number has soared to 17½ in most of the major online sportsbooks. The college football odds also reflect an even bigger move on the total as the number has spiked from 54½ to 59 across the board. With easterly wind gusts of 12-17 miles per hour and a 40 percent chance of rain showers, this could be a total ripe for the picking if you're considering going low. The wind and rain can do odd things to passes thrown and field goals kicked so keep your eyes open on this one and don't wait too long as this total could start to inch down.

3:30 PM ET Illinois vs. Minnesota

Winds from the south are expected to blow 11-16 miles per hour with a 60 percent chance of wet weather. Clearly, that anticipated inclement weather is being factored in the total that has plummeted from 49 to 45 as of this Saturday morning writing. However, the point spread has fallen just a hook on the heavily favored Golden Gophers, moving from 14 to 13 ½ with slight action skewing on the Fighting Illini. It is obviously too late to take advantage of what was a high total so keep your eyes on the weather report in Minneapolis and stay sharp!

4:00 PM ET Oklahoma vs. Kansas State

Gusty southwest winds blowing at 12-20 miles per hour and a 40 percent chance of rainfall have seen the line move from Oklahoma -12 to -14 where it sits as we speak. The total has fallen from 58 to 55 which is indicative of the potentially wet and windy weather introduced to this game. Those who took an early peek at the forecast and included under 58 in their college football picks must be feeling pretty good about that number. As for the rest of us, we will have to wait until closer to game time to see where the total finally settles.
