The Razorbacks have a chance to make waves in this game as they're less than a touchdown college football odds underdog. See who we like as our betting pick in this matchup.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 3rd at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. According to the College Football Odds at 5Dimes Sportsbook, the Volunteers are a 6.5 (-114) point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 54.5 (-106).

A Quality 1-3 Team?
Arkansas has lost 3 consecutive games, but is coming off a very competitive 28-21 loss in overtime to the  #14 Texas A&M Aggies, which shows that they're more than capable of winning this game or at least covering the number.

The combination of Brandon Allen to Drew Morgan was a reliable one as it accounted for more than 50% of Allen's passing yardage. Morgan finished the game with 8 receptions for 155 yards and 1 TD. The running game was also working on all cylinders as Alex Collins grinded out 151 yards on 26 carries for a touchdown. Arkansas had control of this game and it took a Texas A&M two point conversion in the 4th quarter to tie the game.

Arkansas has a fairly solid defense. In their first 3 games (discounting the Texas A&M OT loss), the Razorbacks have allowed an average of 21 points and thats with a high scoring affair with Texas Tech included. Point being, this is a team that's much better than their record indicates.

Quarterback, Brandon Allen throws for a 70 percent completion, running back Alex Collins is a beast in the backfield as he's more than half- way to 1000 yards, and Drew Morgan (303 yards, 3 TD) and the receiving core are more than capable and yet this team could be staring 1-4 in the face.

Looking to Bounce Back
Tennessee is coming off of a tough 28-27 loss in the swamp that I recall picking the winner (covering the spread with my TU pick) and this is a team that also gave Oklahoma a run for their money. Although Arkansas is quite effective offensively, the Razorbacks haven't been able to translate it into wins. Now, Tennessee has another tough customer to deal with despite the opponent's records and the betting odds surely indicate this.

Grinding It Out
Tennessee doesn't have the passing game that Arkansas has and I expect them to run the football down the Razorbacks' throw. How effective they will be will be the deciding factor in this game.

The Vols have 3 backs that have each eclipsed the 200 yard mark and are led Jalen Hurd (402 yards, 7 TD). Look for Tennessee to bleed the clock while keeping the ball on the ground. Hurd has had 3 games of 23 carries or more and in all of those games, he's rushed for 100 yards or more. He's also scored a touchdown or more in each game this season.

You can basically see what you're going to see here. Can Arkansas stop the run to a degree and they're going to want their offense out on the field as much as possible and hope that Tennessee will have to play ":catch up" through the air. A place where they're not comfortable. Take Arkansas plus odds to your Saturday College Football Picks.
