The stakes just keep getting higher for teams, let's find what are some good opportunities in terms of betting totals? Here are three college football picks from Saturday’s card.

Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Northwestern Wildcats
Odds:
  41.5
This is a game in which the Big Ten West Division could very well be decided. The winner will definitely have a huge advantage. How will this game be played strategically, though? Expect both coaches, Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz and Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald, to trust their defenses, which have been the much stronger units than the offenses this season. Iowa won a 10-6 game at Wisconsin a few weeks ago, and Northwestern has regularly scored under 30 points this season, yet shut down most of its opponents. You might find an occasional fourth down in which these coaches go for broke, but the yard line would have to be favorable. You won’t see these coaches take chances in their own half of the field. You also have to realize that Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard and Northwestern’s Clayton Thorson have struggled this season. The pressure of this game should limit each quarterback’s effectiveness to begin with. These defenses are also very good, which should reduce scoring opportunities even more. This feels like a 17-13 or 16-13 kind of game. Take the under here with your College Football Picks.

Vanderbilt Commodores vs. South Carolina Gamecocks
Odds:
  44
It’s true that South Carolina has a bad defense, one which got lit up by LSU last week. However, Vanderbilt has a terrible offense, one which has failed to do anything of note in the SEC this season. When you combine that with the fact that Shawn Elliott will be taking over for just-retired head coach Steve Spurrier in South Carolina, neither team’s offense is probably going to be organized enough to play well. Take the under here.

Florida Gators vs. LSU Tigers
Odds:
  46
The big thing to note in this game is that Florida starting quarterback Will Grier has been suspended for the rest of the season for taking a banned substance. Grier took an over-the-counter supplement without checking with the Florida medical staff first. It’s a bad mistake because players are always taught to check with the medical staff before doing anything else. Grier lost sight of that, and now Florida must play with backup quarterback Treon Harris. It’s going to be hard for the Gators to pass the ball well enough to win, but more fundamentally, it’s going to be hard for them to pass the ball enough to score on a very solid LSU defense, playing at home and at night. LSU has a strong running game with Leonard Fournette, but Florida has a very tough run defense and should limit the Bayou Bengals’ ability to move the ball. This feels like a 20-13 or 23-16 game, definitely under the College Football Odds.
