That's right, it is the time, time to get in the mood for some after dark college football. Have the food delivered, bust out the snacks and make sure the adult beverages are chilled to perfection.

Had another very good night a week ago for our college football picks, taking us to 12-7-2 ATS record on Saturday nights.

7:15 EDT - LSU at Ole Miss on ESPN

The college football odds have LSU as a touchdown favorite at The Grove in Mississippi. Since losing to Troy, the Tigers have shown grit and toughness in defeating Florida and Auburn. But both games were decided by 1 and 4 points and when you look into the history of this series, LSU is just 6-14 ATS of late. Ole Miss is 3-3 and each loss was on road and two were to Alabama and Auburn. Shea Patterson is a talented quarterback and the Rebels still have big receivers who can catch the ball on slant routes or on jump balls down the field. Just not convinced the Bengal Tigers are that strong and believe this is a field goal game either way.

7:30 EDT - USC at Notre Dame on NBC

While it is only the third Saturday in October, everyone agrees one of these teams will be eliminated from playoff contention no matter how they conclude the season, barring unforeseen circumstances. USC is 6-1, but by any measure, they have been mildly disappointing as 1-6 ATS mark shows. QB Sam Darnold has saved the Trojans, who continue to make mistakes at an alarming rate, with 16 turnovers and never having less than two in any contest. With Notre Dame forcing more than two turnovers a contest and having the No. 5 rush offense, which has quick scoring capabilities like a passing game, this will be the test for USC. Coach Brian Kelly is in need of a marquee win and the Fighting Irish deliver with a 10-point win.

7:30 EDT - Michigan at Penn State on ABC

Michigan can play with Penn State, especially on defense, where they have held every opponent to a season-low on yardage gained. Where the problems arise is the Wolverines passing offense. QB John O'Korn has lost confidence and is not reading keys. He throws into double coverage when a check-down is a better option and his accuracy on out-routes or slants is not what one would expect of Top 20 program. The Nittany Lions had a week off and should be ready for prime time. Though I am not a big proponent of revenge, it does have its place, coming off last year's 49-10 beatdown in Ann Arbor. Where the game changes is Penn State is 9th in total defense and 1st in scoring defense (9.0 PPG) and will generate miscues by Michigan and win by 13.
