We have two premium college football picks coming your way as we analyze Friday night's matchups and get a jump on the weekend's action with a pair of winners.

Temple (4-5 SU, 4-5 ATS) vs. Cincinnati (3-6 SU, 4-5 ATS)

* Cincinnati is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 conference games.

* Cincinnati is 2-11 ATS in their last 13 home games.

* Cincinnati is  6-13 ATS in their last 19 games overall.

* Temple is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Friday games.

* Temple is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win.

* Temple is 6-0 ATS in their last six games in November.

The college football odds makers understand that these two teams are confounding similar which is manifested in the tight point spread. Both teams have similar rushing attacks, relatively pedestrian offenses and porous defenses. But if you review those major categories you will see that Temple has the edge in all of them except rushing yards (Temple 115.3 YPG vs. Cincinnati 129.4 YPG).

However, the Owls hold a discernable advantage in their passing attack which averages almost 260 yards per game versus 221 for the Bearcats. Temple is coming off a big 34-26 win over Navy as six-point home dogs and have won and covered the number in their last two meetings with their opponents on Friday night. We believe they will once again outclass the Cats tonight with a passing attack that will be too much for the weak Cincinnati secondary.

Washington (8-1 SU, 6-3 ATS) vs. Stanford (6-3 SU, 3-5-1 ATS)

* Stanford is 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss.

* Stanford is 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games.

* Stanford is 2-6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

* Washington is 5-1 ATS in their last six Friday games.

* Washington is 17-4 ATS in their last 21 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

* Washington is 5-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

This Pac-12 matchup should be a dandy but the Washington Huskies have National Championship aspirations on their minds while the Cardinal has just named backup K.J. Costello as the starter against the No. 2 ranked defense in the nation. Costello was ineffective last week on the road at intra-state rival Washington State and tossed for just nine completions in 20 attempts for a mere 105 yards and one interception in the team’s 24-21 loss.

I cannot imagine a world in which Costello thrives with this voracious Huskies’ defense breathing down his throat. Washington has allowed an average of just 11 points per game while their offense is striking for north of 36 points per game. Although laying points on the road can be difficult, the choice is clear, back the Huskies in your college football picks on Friday night.
