The college football season is a little more than four months away, and various futures and props markets continue to open offshore and here in Sin City where the Golden Nugget has released its opening conference championship odds for the 2017 season.

Golden Nugget Releases Conference Championship Odds

The Golden Nugget casino in downtown Las Vegas has released NCAA College Football Conference Game Championship odds with Tony Miller expecting to get his renowned Games of the Year and Regular Season Team Win Totals out even earlier this year, telling The Las Vegas Sportsline recently that he was aiming for a “May 19 or May 26” release date with numbers for every big game of the FBS season. The 2017 college football season kicks off on Aug. 26 when Stanford (80/1 to win CFP National Championship, BetOnline) faces Rice in the Sydney Cup at Allianz Stadium (STAN -33, 5Dimes) in Australia, and with Hawai’i and UMass playing at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

The only team the Golden Nugget has priced below Even money (+100) to win its conference is the SEC’s Alabama (5/6, Golden Nugget), which returns both QB Jalen Hurts (15/1 to win Heisman Trophy, Sportsbook.ag) and RB Bo Scarbrough (18/1 to win Heisman Trophy).

The Crimson Tide (+300 to win CFP National Championship, BetOnline) face Deondre Francois (14/1 to win Heisman Trophy, Sportsbook.ag) and Florida State (+650 to win CFP National Championship, Bovada) in Atlanta on Sept. 2 in the biggest early game of the NCAA Football season (ALA -4½, 5Dimes).

The two biggest long shots from the Golden Nugget this year, both Rutgers (Big Ten) and Kansas (Big 12), opened at 200/1 odds. Last year, the Scarlet Knights opened 500/1 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook to win the Big Ten championship.
